Title: EVO Game Kit Questions
Post by: ruttrunner1 on December 04, 2009, 12:22:57 PM
I recently purchased some Bally EVO game kits. One of the kits included a copied disk. I can't seem to get passed the Validating CD ROM portion of the setup for this kit. I am hoping that someone has experiance with this and knows if the factory cd rom drive is capable of reading a burned copy. If it is not capable of reading a burned copy, would I be able to swap the drive out with a newer rewritable one or does there need to be different drivers installed even though it would only be used to read and not write? I would appreciate any info.

Hello

I try to make a copy from bally evo disk whit nero, isoimage,or alcohol 120, for save the original disks and work whit copy however, when the system is booting when cd rom drive try to read the "FAIL" message appears on the screen, atronic disks is easy to make a backup however under bally i can´t do it, i understand that the companies need to protect their software, but sometimes we need to keep a backup to solve future troubles, maybe someone here could make a backup, i just read about cryptographic software possible on disk, but really i don´t know.

Pic of inside a EVO Video (Soap Opera theme) or known to many as Bally EVILS (or Evels)

The ATX Style one is located behind the BV Housing and plugs into the backplane right above the transformer

The PDU box inside (from the Vido EVO), nothing but a Bridge Rectifier, Cap and EMI Filter, and a second shot of the ATX style power supply behind the BV housing, these are from the Video EVO and game has both of these and the transformer for the power
