Title: Hopper brake Post by: HOGCAT on December 08, 2009, 08:46:30 PM I was having trouble with the hopper brake not releasing when the motor started. I thought if I took it apart and clean and oiled the arm and pawn it would be fine. But it still would not release all the time when the motor started. Since it uses the electro magnet action of the motor to pull the arm down to flip the red pawn wheel I figured a addition to the arm was needed. I took a pop rivit out and stuck a piece of pluimbers strap under the rivet to add more material for the magnetism to attract the arm when the motor started. It works fine now!!! Here is a pic to explain it better.
