Title: New with Questions
Post by: fergy0776 on December 09, 2009, 12:06:56 PM
I recently received a Bally Continental Slot and im curious to what I have and what it is worth.  It is in good shape with cabinet, has some working lights and all parts look to be present.  The pull dose not work and I don't know why as Ive never worked with these machines.  From what Ive found online I think this was built between 69'-74'.  Any help would be appreciated!

Welcome to NLG fergy0776  :88-

That's a nice looking machine from what I can see in the pictures, although they are a bit small. There are several of us who have some interest in the older machines, and I always enjoy seeing pictures of other members' EMs. If you check Fox'sSlots eBay link you will get some idea of the prices that he asks for his machines.

you have a model 847 - bally continental - these are a very complicated machine to work on for the novice.  If the coins are not registering - can be numerous reasons - I think there are other feeds in NLG that addressed the coining issue which is a common malfunction for a bally.
I just listed a 10c version on ebay for $500.00.  In better days the machine would sell for 800 to 1000. that was then - now?

Barry is that an as is price or a working price?  I dont mind listing it on the higher end and wait a while for it to sell its a cool looking peice and It looks awsome in my play/game room.  Stat Freek a bit small?  I guess im not familiar with slots cause im almost 6' and on its stand it is taller then me!

I meant the pictures that you uploaded. They are only 327x245 pixels. You can upload much larger images, as long as the file size doesn't exceed 1MB each.
