Title: problems w/DBV 200 transport
Post by: rjpohl on October 10, 2008, 01:26:17 PM
I have several transports that will not accept bills.  I know the dbv 200 heads are good (they work on other transports).  The bills are taken all the way into the transport but do not make it to the cash box.  If I open the door and unplug the power to the DBV and than re-plug the bill will back out.

I'm using one good working machine with the same cash box.

I've cleaned all the optics, rollers and belts.

Thanks in advance
Bob

What we do is have one known unit that works and just replace each item one at a time till you get it to work.  I have one unit that works and I do not even have to install it in the machine.  You just unhook all the wire ties and keep the tray off and close the door and hook up the unit outside the machine.  Let it cycle up and put your bills in the good unit.  If it works then just hook your power supply back up to the one in the machine and and change the parts one by one till it works.  :137-

I had one good working unit (head and transport).  I'm now using the known good head on different transports.  I believe the problem is the belts are worn.  I have roughed them up with some steel wool and the seem to be working now.

I tried the "roughing up" with sandpaper also.
The only problem with that is the roughed up belt will attract more debris and clog up with dirt.
Periodic cleaning of the belts is best.
Mild rubber cleaning solvent is good.
Can be had at local hardware store.
