Title: How to replace Game Maker button lights Post by: Jeff99 on December 19, 2009, 05:41:01 AM I need to replace some buttion bulbs in my Game Maker (V7000). Once I have taken the large nut off that holds it to the machine what do I do. I have tried twisting it but that doesn't work and I don't break the thing! Thanks Jeff

You don't need to remove the nut. Just pull the micro-switch straight down and out from the button assembly. Don't try to turn it as you pull. Also, be careful when pulling the switches out because the button plastic gets brittle with age and exposure to heat. There are some who suggest prying the legend and button cap off with a flat head screwdriver and using needle nosed pliers to remove the bulb from the top, because that was the way the casino techs did it. However, they had lots of replacement parts and were trying get things done as quickly as possible. Don't do that at home. |
