Title: Re: IGT Slant progressive reset Post by: Railroad94 on December 26, 2009, 09:39:16 PM You can get a key (2341)for 1 or 2 bucks. In the meantime all you have to do is a quick short of the two wires connected to the back side of the key switch but all the doors have to be closed when you do this.
Title: Re: IGT Slant progressive reset Post by: dc on December 26, 2009, 10:53:42 PM :99- I gave it a try . I had the keyed switch out so I just jumped from one to the other . Nothing . I have noticed that it is not sounding off from the jackpot anymore . It does nothing now . I have a lot to learn I guess . All power seems to be on with no fuses out .

Title: Re: IGT Slant progressive reset Post by: cadillacpro on December 27, 2009, 01:48:31 AM was it paying out in coins/tokens? Did the hopper run out of coins? If so fill it back up and let it continue the pay out till done.
Title: Re: IGT Slant progressive reset Post by: dc on December 27, 2009, 04:11:20 AM It did not pay out anything . It just locked up and started making jackpot noises and the red flashing/blinking light on the top .
Title: Re: IGT Slant progressive reset Post by: stayouttadabunker on December 27, 2009, 04:13:05 AM What you're describing is your machine going into "hand-pay" mode...
That's one of my favorite reactions from a machine at a casino! :89- Title: Re: IGT Slant progressive reset Post by: jay on December 27, 2009, 04:18:27 AM A bit of "mis information" here.
Typicaly hitting the TOP award the machine goes into hand-pay mode. Lets say this was a non-progressive and the top award was $1200 coins. If your hopper limit was 400 coins this would pay out - or go to credit (depends on the options you have set) then the machine will lock up. This is when the casino management comes out - verifys the win and writes you a cheque for the remainder of your WIN. If this was a dollar machine they then annoy you by withholding a certain percentage of your win and writing you a W2G for taxation purposes. Once this is done the jackpot reset switch is turned (or in your case shorted) and the machine resets and you can continue play. if by chance the reset key is turned in a non-win condition you go into statistic mode, the fastest way out of this is to open and close your door. I am speculating that in your shorting of the key switch you may have done this multiple times and may now be in stat mode. MAY I SUGGEST YOU OPEN AND CLOSE YOUR DOOR...... As a progressive machine - and it depends on what progressive you have in your machine - the machine may not know what value you have on your progressive. It could be a buck or twenty million all the machine knows is that its top award has been hit so it locks up and waits for the casino management to do their thing and to turn the reset key. Once you start your next game.... (coin in) the progressve will reset to the base value and continue normal play. Can you post back and let us know what type of progressive is in your machine. If your not sure pictures of the meter and then cables back to the controller board will help us help you.
