Title: CEI 905 and 906 schematics
Post by: badbaud on January 05, 2010, 03:32:10 AM
Looking for 905 and 906 schematics for the CEI boards. I have a partial 906 schematic but it is a copy of a copy of a copy of a copy and all of the numbers are blurred.

I work for United Coin, the company that used to manufature the CEI.  I can probably get some schematics for you.. the Company has made the desicion to do away with all the CEI's in the field as well, so the parts are going to get even harder to find.

Hook me up! We still get a CEI board into the shop every once in a while and our schematics are very bad.

Home use customers like them for their simplicity but our tester only does the older boards.

A full set of schematics would allow me to expand the tester capability.

I'll talk to our board room guys on Tuesday.... They are tossing out alot of stuff for CEI's BV's motherboards game boards, you name it.  So if you need anything in particular let me know...
Also forgot, what style of 906 there are three 906, 906 turbo, and 906 turbo EX? the last two are the newest but I think you're gonna see a flood of the new stuff soon.

In our business we try not to be to "application specific".

If someone is getting rid of some older gaming stuff we will take whatever is offered and sort through the parts later.

Hoarding is a good personality trait when you work on older equipment and our shop is evident of that trait.

But I can guarantee whatever your board wants to get rid of would end up in a safe place. We don't sell parts on Ebay or
Craig's List. We use what we get for repairs to keep older legacy equipment running.

As far as style of parts we are looking for I know we have no Turbo board parts and our tester only does 904 boards.
We also use the tester to test monitors we repair. Heck this tester doesn't even have a double down button.

I had fixed a board for a customer and after it was up and running played some games, won a hand, and couldn't
get past the "press double down or collect" screen. We had to send the board back to the customer and let them
finish the game. Schematics would have helped.

I do know we only have two of those 904 RAM boards. Both are sealed and unusable.

I have been able to repair some 906 turbo boards but only when there was an obvious defect.
Then we have to ship the board back to the customer and ask them to call us and let us know if we actually fixed it.

A turbo board tester would be a nice addition to the shop.

A 904 board tester with all of the optional buttons would be nice also.

Does anyone know where to get a user manual for the CEI video poker machines?  I just replaced the battery and now the machine does not work the same.  It must have reverted to original mode.
Thank you

After Changing the Battery you probably see Game INIT on the screen...
If you do (depending on the age of the machine) press the small red menu button in the cabinet.
it should show you a menu of options use the hold/discard buttons (up and Down and select ) to select the option you want (Birth or rebirth)
this will initialize the Poker game. you will then need to do the same for blackjack (if the game has it).
it then will bump you out to the poker screen. select the menu button again and use your code or mine 1799 then 5615 (if I remember correctly, I'll check tomorrow)
and set up the particulars. cashout bills etc.

Finally.... In was able to find some Cal Omega books. These have the original schematics to the CEI Game and Mother board... I'll probably have to take them to Kinkos or something to get a data copy of them, as they are rare the trainer doesn't want them to leave possession of UCMC. but she has no problem getting the info out. I just have to set to time to get them converted to softcopy. sorry it took so dang long.

Send me a copy, I have one old blue print of a older 904 and it is so yellow and stained you can hardly make out the part numbers.

Alright pdfs are too large to attach to a post, so I setup a folder on my server that Newlifers can get them from.

Edit. Link no longer valid.

FOUND..... but.

There are apparently hundreds of hand drawn D size schematics.

and right now I am trying to avoid a freaking turf war between Engineering, Production and Communications.

I have to wait for approval from Engineering, try to find what schematic is pertinent then have it converted to data. (was able to avoid going to Kinkos last time)

Sorry its taking so long.......

no go on the schematics. I was told that anyone capable of letting me into the filing cabinets to look for them are all too busy doing other things. (Engineer Speak for PISS OFF.)
Anyone who would like the info that I have on my server will need to get it quick. I am planning on doing server work and will be pulling it down. If some one else would like to host the info please feel free. Sadly I have exhausted all my avenues at UCMC to get the info people have requested.

All Cei Info will be removed from my server, and that account removed by next weekend. 5th or 6th  maybe.

sorry I added some info an RAR file that some one sent me. I have not opened it or inspected it yet, so do so at your own risk. i will look at it in a bit.

Edit: the RAR files are good and have been converted. they show board schematics for the 905.
