Title: Wiring harness for igt s-plus to jcm
Post by: jbt777 on January 07, 2010, 07:49:23 PM
I recently purchased a jcm wba 12/ss to install on my igt s+.  However,  I need to find out where to obtain a harness to connect to machine.  Also, the bezel that came with the unit does not fit the knockout in the door correctly.  So I need to find one of those too.  Any info on how I can install this unit into my machine would be greatly appreciated.  I am somewhat electronic savy,  but this has me baffled. :103-

What bill validator did you have before?

Thank you for a quick response!

There was no validator installed when I purchased the machine.  It has a knockout plate ( held in with two nuts) on the front door.  On the inside, it has the cash box door and the mounting plate.  The validator mounts into the machine perfect but,  the entry unit does not come out far enough to the door nor is there a bezel.

As far as I can tell, there has never been a bill validator installed on this machine.  Date of mfc is 6/97

Did you get a power supply for the DBV, this is the one you need:

This will connect and power the DBV to the machine, however, there's a little harness that connects the connector on the back of the DBV transport that needs to be installed in the DBV cage if it's not already there.  You will also need what is called a duckbill for a WBA series DBV for the S+ and a door bezel with lights.  You will need to see if you have the wiring for the door bezel.  I will take pictures of what you need tonight when I get home and post them on this thread.

Here we go.  These are the parts you need.  The first two pictures are the door bezel and the light display that turns on or off whenever the DBV is ready to accept coins.

Here's the "Duck bill" attached to the DBV and by itself.

These are pictures with the bezel and the light display installed, I removed the Play Max button assembly so you can see better.  The second picture shows the light display cable that should be there on your machine "idle"  It's the prominent 4 pin connector.

And finally the power supply and the harness at the back of the DBV Cage.

Thank you very much!  After seeing the pix it doesn't seem so complicated.  But trying to find the wire harness, duck bill & bezel is proving difficult .  Any resources that you can think of?

Any of the vendors listed at the top of the page can supply all you need.
Just ask!

With a build date that late on the game I am sure you have a door for a WBA, but don't buy the wrong Bezel, there are 2 width openings, 1 for DBV and one for WBA, the DBV is way more common and the WBA beak will not fit it, just measure the width opening of the door (not the widest part by the notches) to be sure to buy the right bezel and beak, btw we have the stuff probably

Hello again,
These pix are great and have helped greatly.  The last question is where does the connector on the back of the dbv cage connect to.  Currently there is not a plug mounted to the cage.  Could I make one myself?

You could make one, but the connector is near impossible to obtain as a part.  I suggest you buy one from one of our sponsors, I'm sure they have them.  The harness screws on the back of the DBV Cage and has 4 or 5 connectors.  Some of them connect to the power supply connectors and another one goes to the light bezel in the front of the slot.  There should be a thread with pictures on how it connects, if not, I'll take some close ups tonight and post here.

Found the thread.  Here is the thread with the pictures of the Harness, the plugs on the power supply and picture of the thing hooked up.
