Title: Williams Once Around Post by: cp on January 11, 2010, 06:09:19 PM I'm sure someone can tell me if Williams Once Around V 1.02 is a single screen game or dual screen ? also is it 360 / 550 platform or other platform ?
Thanks. Title: Re: Williams Once Around Post by: rickhunter on January 11, 2010, 06:33:28 PM Once around is a legacy 36x/55x single screen title. It requires the special Monopoly top box with the chase lights and small logic board with XU10 chip for it to boot, otherwise you'll get a communications error.

I have a Cast for Cash , dual screen... any idea if that Monopoly will function in that Cst 4 Cash setup / platform ? Title: Re: Williams Once Around Post by: Slotmaster on January 11, 2010, 06:51:58 PM Thanks for the info... it will not work, the game you are looking to get working needs an extra board that is not installed in the machine you have.I have a Cast for Cash , dual screen... any idea if that Monopoly will function in that Cst 4 Cash setup / platform ? Title: Re: Williams Once Around Post by: jrr922 on January 11, 2010, 08:24:40 PM Lets say I have that Monopoly top box sitting collecting dust in a closet. I dont know if I have the XU10 chip or not, will there be anyway to hook it up on either my single or dual screen 550?
Title: Re: Williams Once Around Post by: rickhunter on January 12, 2010, 12:40:55 AM I've never done it, but I'm pretty sure it uses the serial port on the backplane. I don't have pinout info on the top box and without the XU10, it's worthless.
Title: Re: Williams Once Around Post by: jrr922 on January 31, 2010, 12:47:19 AM I was mistaken, I dont have once around, but I have the topper for Chairman of the Board. It has a connector piece that looks like something similar to the connections of the hoppers, but I dont have a clue to where that would plug into. Any help here?

Title: Re: Williams Once Around Post by: stayouttadabunker on February 03, 2010, 04:59:51 AM Who would be pulling out the XU10 chips...the casinos? Why?
Is this (I know it's an XU12) sort of what you're talking about? Title: Re: Williams Once Around Post by: Slotmaster on February 03, 2010, 12:19:00 PM The upper Display board is the same as the ones you see in the WMS REEL Dot machines. XU-10 is the Display Driver and there are 2 other chips used (XU-3 and XU-4)
No one is pulling XU-12 Chips off the main CPU board in terms of this conversation. Xu-12 is the CPU processor |
