Title: Primary SAS Down / Printer Issue
Post by: mah on January 12, 2010, 01:02:49 AM
I have read past posts concerning printer problems on a Vision and still can't get my Vision printer to print a "Cash Out" ticket.  It prints a Demo ticket fine and the printer is identified thru autoconfig.  Using the 17 clear chip I tried all 3 SAS Validation modes and get the message, "Primary SAS Down" when in Standard Mode (not expected based upon past posts) and Enhanced Mode (expected).  The only mode the machine works in is system mode.

I have a Munsters Vision manufactured in 1/03 which has no hopper.  "Coinless Mode" is disabled.  Does this need to be enabled?  Any help would be appreciated.

I'm hoping to avoid a ram clear if possible.  Would this be necessary given that the printer is recognized and prints demo's?

New to visions.  Thanks in advance.

I will be taking on my first vision game change once I get thru this problem.

Clear the machine with a clear 0097 chip and set it all back up in the standard validation mode and you should be fine. Make sure the printer is enabled in the keychip setup menu.
