Title: need some help with hooking up ext bill validator Igt machine added photos Post by: myhobby on October 14, 2008, 08:55:15 PM Hi can anyone help with hooking up this ext val I had none but want to hook up the pictures show the wires and inside the game.
Thank you. any help would be great I just don't want to make a mistake. If you have a diagram that would be great. The red and black with the ground is that 110 volts and does the white plug go in the front where it is missing on the panel. The skinny black one with 4 wires 6 holes does that one go on the base to the left bottom. I can put up more pic's if needed just don't know where to plug in. IBA is Internal Bill Accepter.
Yours may or may not have J6, and it may used for something else on the Pre-IBA S+. I upload some pictures can I use a different harness to plug in
I have a picture of the plug coming out of the box. Maybe that will help. Also where woud I get power from for the red and black. there is also a harness on the top where the award glass and a hole on the side it's a 15 plug socket. I hope this helps I really would like to get it to work. Thank you all for the help. Number of pins in J6 and black connector that wont fit j6? I may be seeing things but your black connector from BV looks to be 6 pins and without a top down view of j6 I cant tell how many pins it has. Your motherobard looks similar to the IBA motherboard. I have the same style of connectors near your J6. From front of motherboard and since I cant tell the color of the wires 1 is wired 2 is wired 3 is open 4 is wired 5 is wired 6 is open First picture in this post. Is the current connector coming from the bill validator already inside of a J6 connection? See if you can remove. It could have been broken off the motherboard it originally was taken from. Do you have a power supply for the bill validator? What is the number on the bill head? DBV -?? The 9 connector looks the same as my S+ (IBA) Do you have a Power Supply mounted in the BV housing someplace, on a IBA S+ its mounted to the left side of the BV chassis, yours may be behind or below the stacker. BV 9 pin connector looking at wire side (not at the connectors) locking latch up (IBA) 1 Orange 2 Red 3 Brown 4 unused 5 yellow 6 unused 7 white 8 unused 9 black harness 9 pin connector -- I will number them left to right catch up 3 purple/brown 2 green 1 green/orange 6 unused 5 yellow/brown 4 unused 9 black 8 unused 7 red 6 pin black connector harness 1 yellow/brown 2 purple/brown or brown purple 3 unused 4 green 5 green/orange 6 unused 3 wires in the grey covering Black 120V Hot Red 120V Neutral White Ground. I think the 2 pin molex goes to a switch inside the BV near the cash access door, or behind the stacker. Internal BV have a swich installed that lets the machine know cash door is open. most home dealers remove the switch and short the wires together to solve issues with most home users. Dont worry about the 15 pin connector behind the award glass. |
