I just bought a Cherry Master machine from a bar where it has been running for years.  I plug it in at home and the screen won't work.  I think something may have come unplugged when I moved it inside the machine, I really have no idea.  Anyone familiar with these machines that could contact me?  I could give you my phone number as it would be easier to explain over the phone since I have no experience with these machines and don't understand the terminology.  Anyone willing to give me a few minutes? Thanks

Let me try to make this as easy as possible !
With a decent camera, can you snap a few bright photos of different wire connections?
Especially around the monitor area and some big box that might be the power supply area.
Chances are, someone will simply spot the problem and tell ya what to do!

I just bought a Cherry Master from a bar where it has run for years.  I bring it home and plug it in and the screen doesn't light up.  Is there a reset buttom somewhere?  It looks like there are a few wires not hooked up.  I know nothing about this machine.  Can someone call me if they can help as it would be easier since I don't know all the terminology that goes with this machine or the board.  If there is no answer leave a message with your number and when is a good time to call.  If someone can help me fix this I would be willing to mail you a few bucks.  Thanks, Marty (920)361-0178

Marty - start at the simple ends and work your way back.

1. Is it plugged in, if so does the outlet work - check with a lamp. It might have popped a breaker when you plugged it in due to other things on the circuit.
2. Is the power cord tightly plugged in at the slot end.
3. Is the door closed - many of these types of machines have cherry switches that cut power when the door is open.
4. Are there fuses in the machine, check the fuses. Use a multi-meter (set to resistance) to check the fuse.

Post back perhaps with a picture - noted you posted something similar elsewhere on the site. You only need to post one place - many of our regulars read all the posts and us moderators can move the post if its in the wrong spot.

I just got off the phone with him...
He laid the machine on it's back when he transported it home.
I'm afraid it's might be possible that the tube fell and hit the cabinet or something came loose....
apparently though, his wires for the video card seem to be still connected.
I just don't know what the squeal's about though.
When he powered it up, he got a vertical line then some high-pitched squealing noises.
I asked him to turn the power off and see if something came loose from the back of the tube...

High pitched squeels usually = capacitors.....Single line = Fly back which = high voltage transistor.

I would be looking for coinage over/under/on any of the boards.

Where is 902 ?

I just got off the phone with him also  :89- 902 is Wi. I had him first check the monitor to see if he has the orange glow on the tube,yup,he does. So I told him to try to adj. the monitor(if its to far out of sync you will get that sound),no luck. I had him un-hook the monitor and try the game( the whole time it will still take bills) inserting a bill and see if the bet light would come on,no dice. So,at the moment hes tracing the wires from the board for a short...

Thought of something else. When I talked to him he tried a few things before I called ,and so I was wondering if he turned the knob on the power supply above or below the 5V.

Good catch randy, that would happen sometimes too -
when the little knob on his power supply is turned up too high.
It sounded like he was definitely a little flustered when I talked to him...
I said "Take a deep breath and..." lol
It will take a while but he will figure it all out with some help! lol

Did someone warn him about the dangerous high voltage charge that builds up on the tube ? He can get hurt if he is not careful.

I made sure that I told him also . I sent him a message about the adj. on the power supply and he replied it was the monitor...
