Title: Kenny Rogers and my wife ... Post by: RiffVI on January 21, 2010, 02:58:02 PM Greetings all, kinda new to all of this so be kind please ;)
My wife and I went to a casino and she fell in love with Kenny Rogers the Gambler. I've always wanted a slot machine for the house and they are leagal to have in the Virgin Islands so trying to figure out a way to give her Kenny and have some fun at the same time. I am work as a computer geek so good with boards and chips and the like but no idea where to get started or what to look for. Guess what I am asking is the easiest way to look for purchasing a cabinet or is there a way you could cludge something together ? Again I have been trying to get more info but a tad confused at the moment... Sh Thanks in advance.... Riff Title: Re: Kenny Rogers and my wife ... The machine your looking for is made by IGT and its an I+ model. Most of the sponsors of this site have them for sale. Since this is your 1st slot, just a little bit of advice - select the largest room in the house to place your slot because they multiply like rabbits. One today, 8 tomorrow. I'm not kiddin! If the machine is made coinless and either only prints tickets, or only goes into hand pay upon cashout, then it may be considered to be a non revenue device, and could be possible to call it an amusement game, which is what it would really be in my opinion, literally a video game. Kenny Rogers is an easy one to find. Thanks, Wayne Title: Re: Kenny Rogers and my wife ... Post by: RiffVI on January 22, 2010, 12:58:12 AM Wayne,
In the Virgin Islands it is kinda wide open. In inquiring the DOJ there are no laws on the books when it comes to slots here . My purpose for getting it is to just for home fun, coinless is fine with me. I am doing it as a project for me and a present for her if I can. Have been reading what I can and now the geek side of me is hooked from reading here and other places :) Title: Re: Kenny Rogers and my wife ... Post by: a69mopar on January 22, 2010, 01:07:08 AM I'm sorry, I thought you had said they are illegal, I read again and see you said legal.
Thanks, Wayne Title: Re: Kenny Rogers and my wife ... Post by: RiffVI on January 22, 2010, 01:30:42 AM I'm sorry, I thought you had said they are illegal, I read again and see you said legal. Thanks, Wayne No worries Wayne :) In what I am able to find out there is nothing on the DOJ books with regardss to private ownership of a machine in the Virgin Islands. Regardless I want it as a geek project to me and a wedding present to my wife, she really loves Kenny LOL. Used to want a arcade Tron machine but she isn't that into arcade stuff nor that big of a geek, machine is strictly for home fun |
