Have you considered the Imonex V9? No power required unless you need the lockout.

Isnt setting up a "X-10" kinda like stepping on the pointy end of a garden rake????

I use a lot of x-10 acceptors, it does take a bit to get used to at first, and takes a lot longer than popping a coin in a comparitor, but with the varying consistency of Canadian quarters, the x-10 has a higher acceptance rate.

Thanks,
Wayne

That's not true, the cc16d or x-10 will work with most mains.

I have 2003 mains but the CC-16 is not working but I might have a bad set of optics.

Maybe, but once you do and the handle hits you smack in the face - you don't forget... :72-
