Title: Is this machine IGT?
Post by: RayV on February 02, 2010, 02:50:51 PM
Can anyone tell me if this is a IGT machine...S+ maybe?
It is listed locally on Craigslist for a good price and the owner does not know anything about it.
Pics are terrible, but it is called Magic Bars, looks like a 3CM.
The button deck does not look like IGT to me but I am not sure.

It appears to be a later model Sigma, later model than a SG-50 or SG-32,

Thanks for the fast reply Jim
They are asking $250 or OBO for it, think it is worth the price?

too many variables to give a quick yes or no.  Sigma is no longer in business, ask what type of machine it is (model no. should be on a tag on the handle side of machine), if it has a old bill acceptor, then your limited to upgrades,etc.etc.  So you have to decide how bad you want a machine and if this is the one to start out on. On the other hand, if you really want a machine I personally would look for a IGT S+ model, they are easy to maintain and there are a lot of parts and support available. Price is a very sore issue with a lot of people, everyone wants a good machine for a very inexpensive price, the old adage applies , basically you get what you pay for!( or you are willing to accept what you are getting for what you are paying). As an example: I have S+ machines  that are coin tested, wba-11's with new ten software, great games themes, $350, completely shopped in/out with locks $400,  S-2000's   completely shopped with mmlite, backlit reels, all coin/hopper, ticket printer, etc. $700 , Jeannie, DDDlx., Haywire/ DD,  RT- Triple Stars. So I guess what I'm saying is do some research and make the best informed decision that you can afford and you feel comfortable with.

Hope this helps
