I found a few 13" CRT monitors that were stored outside under cover, but maybe freezing in the winter . I tried a couple and they worked, but it looks like there is no Red maybe. Just wondering if cold or freezing would affect the phosphors, or maybe the color guns or what? What is the best way to store monitors, or can you store them over period of time like a couple of years or more. Interesting topic here as I don't know about any of these questions. They last a good long time, I have used some that have sat for 5 years in the box and have fired right up. your no red problem. I would hook up a SENCORE beam-right CR7000 to it and see if you can restore the red gun.

I know there is a better way to store them, I was just wondering if cold or freezing could screw them up as they are in a vacume state? Funny that the red is out on a few of them. I have an old Beltran Systems 8030A picture tube restorer made by Edtron Instruments INC., out of Daly City Calif. That was updated some years back by the inventor and manufacture. I wonder if these are still any good, or are they maybe way outdated in how they work? Thanks again and I'll check out the Sencore CR 7000.
