Title: What is the file number of an S2000 clear chip? Post by: stayouttadabunker on February 06, 2010, 02:55:57 AM I have a few files...I never labeled them correctly. :25-
Can anyone tell me what is the name of the S2000 clear chip file? :129- Title: Re: What is the file number of an S2000 clear chip? Post by: stayouttadabunker on February 06, 2010, 03:05:12 AM Okay, I know what it's called now. Thanks to a good member here. :3- :3-
"IVC0097". Title: Re: What is the file number of an S2000 clear chip? Post by: PWRSTROKE on February 06, 2010, 03:07:16 AM U Gotta be Kidding-- :96-. There are multiple ones. Depends on what you want to do and what game. IVC 97 I think it is will clear backplane/motherboard esp. if it had credits on it or you bought it used and don't know. As far as a general clear depends on your game --generally a 31 does most. A 97/31 will handle most s-2000's and there are others. B.

I have seen a few multi Denoms that WONT allow keychip access with a 22 and needed a 45 to do it! I usually use a 0097 followed with a 22, 31 or 45 if the 22 fails.. If that doesnt work I take it outside and clear it with a .38 :) Kirk Title: Re: What is the file number of an S2000 clear chip? Post by: PWRSTROKE on February 06, 2010, 03:18:33 AM Usually, If you have a known working game and just changing kit/software a 97 is not needed. Only a key-chip for the appropriate set-up. 97 clears back-plane and wipes out other on mpu. Of course there has to be zero credits on record. If not you HAVE to use a 97 first then the proper key chip for your application. Again most s-2000 regular games will be 97/31 . B.

Also remove the two CMOS RAM chips and re-install after a few minutes to make they are erased. This should force the machine into thinking the EEPROM and CMOS have been cleared. Depending which programmer you have the RAM may possibly be tested as well. Title: Re: What is the file number of an S2000 clear chip? All's well...The IVC0097 worked perfectly! :136- I have a Double Diamond Haywire 3CM. However, I'm using an S+ SS chip combined with the SB100100/SG000363 GME#1&2. I wanted to reset my denomination to a different denom... The IVC0097 worked great along with the Keychip 17 to allow me to make the changes I wanted! :89- Title: Re: What is the file number of an S2000 clear chip?
