Title: Either my machine has a problem or I have a ghost in my house! Post by: coorslight115 on February 06, 2010, 06:56:01 PM S+ machine will spin the reels for one round 2 or 3 time a day completely at random . all by itself. Currently has a tournament chip in it with autospin set when 3 credits are played. Insert coin light is flashing when this happens , normally out for tourney play. Insert coin light will go out after i play a turn. ??? :103-

No, you know what it is? The "Attract Mode" ! It's built into your tourney chip... Title: Re: Either my machine has a problem or I have a ghost in my house! Post by: coorslight115 on February 07, 2010, 02:07:28 AM I thought attract mode only played music.. not played a round :103- Reels spin..not just music. And if it is attract mode how often should it happen? Only 3 or 4 time a day , Machine is on 24-7. I am going with the ghost :88- At least he is leaving my beer alone! :3-

The Bluebird YELLS at you! (dont leave that on at night) Kirk Title: Re: Either my machine has a problem or I have a ghost in my house! Post by: knagl on February 07, 2010, 08:40:49 AM Attract mode would not spin the reels and would be more frequent than 3 times per day.
This post reminds me of a post a long time ago when someone posted that their machine would randomly start cashing out in the middle of the night. If memory serves it was a heat issue with a button on the panel. In his case the cash out lamp was heating up after being on for a while and was causing the switch to close. Perhaps a similar thing is happening with your game? For kicks, want to remove the lamps from the bet max and spin buttons and see if the problem goes away? Title: Re: Either my machine has a problem or I have a ghost in my house! Post by: a69mopar on February 07, 2010, 10:29:29 AM I first thought about the button switches, but the candle comes on til the next spin which lead me to the door optic or switch theory.
Thanks, Wayne Title: Re: Either my machine has a problem or I have a ghost in my house! Post by: coorslight115 on February 07, 2010, 05:51:45 PM Candle does not come on...only insert coin flashes until you play again. We are in the middle of a blizzard and the downstairs was around 60 degrees when this occurs, Only heat up the family room when down there. So I would rule out the switch, also if it were the max bet switch the insert coin would not lite, I am in the middle of a tourney game with about 2000 credits on the machine, so we can play any time. The reel do not return to the same position, sometimes they hit and progress the score. The machine is on 24-7 and has been for years.
Title: Re: Either my machine has a problem or I have a ghost in my house! Post by: a69mopar on February 07, 2010, 07:25:35 PM My "too quick reading" mistake. I would think the max bet microswitch. If you don't have a spare then swap it with the service switch and see if it stops.
Thanks, Wayne Title: Re: Either my machine has a problem or I have a ghost in my house! Post by: coorslight115 on February 07, 2010, 08:56:04 PM ok, will try.... But why would the insert coin light come on? It is not used in tourney play? :103- Had the game room warm all day because we were down there and it has not played itself all day. Can cold (55-60) affect any thing that is normally 68-70?
