Title: PSP v2
Post by: mjwchevy on February 22, 2010, 08:05:25 PM
Hi all -

I believe the PSP version we have is v1 - any chance anyone could upload v2?

Basically, we're getting the 'default error' issue when trying to upload to CHAMII+'s.  We've got the correct wiring for the cable (we can see the chamii+ dump its load messages on startup via hyperterm), but no matter what we do to try to up/download from the chamii+ it simply will not work (cannot clear the C10 initialization error).

Thanks in advance

Are you selecting type "OLD" in the software startup?  Also you have pins 1 and 5 jumped together at the controler end?

To get messages to program sometimes you have to turn off / on to get it to load.

I however defer to the earlier poster - you need to have the cross cable.

The cable is 1 to a 1/5 cross on chamii+ end w/ 2 & 3 straight through.  We can see the communications from the chamii+ via a terminal application (when you restart the chamii+).

The 'send' shows the sending dialog without any comms errors, but the C10 error message will not clear nor will any of the settings that supposedly sent show on the meter.  When attempting to 'load' from the chamii+ we get the 'default error' message.

We've tried across multiple chamii+'s with the same result.

We're on a DOS 6.22 PC (not shell'd from windows)

Yes, we are selecting 'OLD' from the menu.

Any thoughts?

1 of 2 problems.

Your ChamII+ 's might only be ChamII's which don't take serial input (despite having a 9 pin connector) or possibly set to be in link mode and not standalone mode,

Or

Your cable from the PC to the ChamII+ is not right. I suspec this is the case.

I wonder if it is possible that terminal is set to com2 and psp is set to com1 or visa-versa.

I did finally get it to connect.  I went back and re-worked the cable, birthed the chamii+, and banged on F1 10 gazillion times...
