Title: S2000 Question
Post by: MrBellMan on February 25, 2010, 12:03:41 AM
Can someone tell me why the "newer" S2000 machines allow you to pull the slot handle bet after bet without manually adding coins/credits (assuming you already have credits on the game)? My Cleopatra and Triple Butterfly machines do this (2004), but my other S2000 machines (2001) do not. I also noticed this in the casinos with their newer games. Just curious as I would love to have them all do this if possible...

Thanks,

Rob

Great question... I have noticed the same thing on a 5 reeler as opposed to my other machines! I think it is more a function of the 5 reelers with the greater numbers of credits bet and multiple lines? But if it is changeable with a game chip change, or a setting that would be great! :89- :71- :89-

Yeah...this is by design and I agree it would be great if it would work somehow.  I have found no setting that allows you to do this on a 3 or 4 reel machine unfortunately.  Sounds like a good project for Stout.

What they ^^^^^ are saying.

I want it as well. I tried everything I can think of.
The Spin Reels button will repeat the bet and it clicks the handle solenoid while doing so, no the solenoid is not clicking for stop sounds just a very quick click.
It does not do the credit bet tone when I press the spin reel button to repeat the bet.

It's got to be something in the base chip I'd imagine...
I've seen "auto-play" on 25-liner boards but not on slots besides mine.
Mine works only because I put in a relay to the "Max" bet button.
As far as "Auto-Bet"...that option IS available on certain SP chips for the S+ I believe.
It could very well possibly be in one of the options of the SP1137 "Montana Credits" chip.
It may have been written into a S2000 base chip as an option
that may allow one to enable/disable it via a special Keychipxxx we haven't realized it has?

And uh,...Bettor Slots...ya think I sit around all day????  :200- :96- :200-     (just kiddin' ya!)

The newer multi-line, multi-coin games allow the player to dynamically change their bet before initiating play. To be more specific, a player can reduce their bet, even if they've already selected a higher wager. Many allow a player to abort the wager completely and just cash out, even if they've been selecting different line and bet combinations, but have not initiated play. This style of gaming lends itself to the automatic rebet of the previous wager, and so the repeating handle pull makes sense.

Older style machines do not allow the player to decrease their bet once made: it can only be increased, and whatever has been bet has to be played. Some allow a decrease in the wager, but not an abort. In those cases, once a bet of any number of credits has been placed, the player must play off at least one credit. Many of my Game Maker games behave that way.

I'm thinking that the only games that will support repeated slot handle pulls are the ones that allow a complete abort of any wager and that have auto-rebet of the previous wager. Otherwise, the logistics of this function get a bit sticky. Just a thought.

I found it!

It's a "Type 76" base chip that allows for automatic-spins"

I think it's for "free-play" games sort of like the Sigma "Treasure Tunnel Free Play" game.

I have a simple solution.

1 Tie back the release for the handle so it can be pulled at anytime.
2 Unplug both wires going to the handle switch. Do Not skip this step or damage may occur.
3 Run new wires from the Handle Switch to either the Bet Max or Spin Reels Switch. Your Choice.

What is a type 76 game?

I don't think that the autospin is it as I think that has to do with bonus spins playing by themselves in a bonus spin win condition.

I really feel that it would be a hardware function in the 5 reelers, or if in the software I think that it would more likely be controlled from the (SG) Game chips. The (SB) Base chips deal more with the paytable information.

I am going to reed a PSR for a 5 reel SG chipset and see if it is mentioned as I am curious.
