Title: Help on Error Code 68 Triple Diamond Post by: Magicslots on February 25, 2010, 09:51:16 PM :99- Changed out my game from a Type 0 RWB WS to my new Triple diamond kit, SS4784, and still using my SP1137,
but it hangs at error code 68 (eeprom not a standard data file) This is also a Type 0 game and should be compatible with my SP1137. What gives? Shouldn't have to do a Ram clear for this??? :103- Title: Re: Help on Error Code 68 Triple Diamond Post by: knagl on February 25, 2010, 10:00:10 PM 68, according to Rick's FAQ is "Non-compatible data PROM".
I agree that yout SS4784 chip should run with the 1137. Are you sure that the SS4784 chip you have is good? Have you used this chip before? It could be a bad chip... I don't suppose there is any way to check the chip without a programmer? :37- Title: Re: Help on Error Code 68 Triple Diamond Post by: knagl on February 25, 2010, 10:09:25 PM Another source I saw said that 68 means invalid reel (SS) chip, which again points to a bad chip.
Aside from a different machine or a different SP chip, no, I don't know of any way to check the chip without a programmer.
