Ok,  I thought i'd better post this here just in case...  Canada beat Slovakia last night in a game that had me on the edge of my seat for the last minutes.
I will be watching on Sunday and cheering for my team of course, but I hope none of the u.S. team does what the women's team captain did prior to their game.

I just read about the outcome of the investigation and they say it was hearsay and they denied it.  I will accept that since it will make me feel better about it.

They had allegedly placed the Canadian Flag on the floor and stomped on it.  This has been determined to be hearsay and closed.  Prior to the game an interviewer asked the Canadian captain what she thought about it as well as some things said, she just said they'll see what happens on the ice(basically).

I've always loved Team Canada when I was a kid growing up near Montreal.
It was great watching Guy Lafleur, Henderson, Gretzky , Espo, and the infamous handle-bar mustache of Lanny McDonald.
However, almost exactly 30 years ago to the day, the "Miracle On Ice" happened in a small hamlet called Lake Placid.
It's about an hours drive from my house and there's gonna be extreme celebration
in my neck of the woods should the U.S. hockey team pull it off again!!!

Also lean toward Canada. Grew up in Oshawa Ont  Saw Rocket Richard play once. One night Toronto's Eddie Shack was being taunted by bunker's Montreal bench because he was illiterate. After a goal he skated to the Montreal bench and said," Score! S-C-O-R-E ". Should be a great game.

It could of went either way, both teams were

That guy is Sidney Crosby. He plays for the Pittsburgh Penguins and he and his Pittsburgh team mates beat the Red Wings last year for the Stanley Cup.
Only 22 years old, the kid is already a superstar.

Really it was expected that Canada should win the gold. Man, they had a superstar lineup!

I really thought Canada outskated the U.S. team. But Canada's goalie was just a bit shaky and Miller playing for the U.S. was great.
It was a classic!!!
