Title: Ithaca 850 ticket printer question Post by: ichogger on February 28, 2010, 03:44:51 AM Another noob question, I searched but didn't find it in the forum so I'll ask away. I have a S2000 vision Ms. Little Green Men that I got yesterday. It has an Ithaca 850 printer in it, just no ribbon cable going to the rear unit that it plugs into when it slides in. My question is if I get the 30 pin cable and plug it in, what else do I need to do to get it to print? I'm pretty comfortable messing around in the menu system. I have a 17 keychip too, I haven't messed with it yet, didn't know if I need to activate it or any other chips or is it solely in the user menu?
Any help is much appreciated. Hopefully it's just plug in the cable, enable it in the menu and start printing. BTW, I set my Casino name, address and city in my S2000 Super Spin Sizzlin' Sevens using the menu....holy crap was that a pain! I think that key chip may work you might need key 31. Key chip used depends on MPU version and Game, Base, Version chips Make sure you do not enable any validation stuff. If you have printer in other S2000 and it is working, I would match the settings except change the machine serial number in Options. If this is fresh in from a casino it is possible that the validation is still set up....under Key Chip II settings go into the validation setting and just make sure that "SAS Standard" is selected. That's a great game...the strips you are looking for will be hard to find but good luck and have fun with it.

Chuck Title: Re: Ithaca 850 ticket printer question Post by: dpalmi on February 28, 2010, 05:28:08 PM FYI - the Printer has to currently be "Disabled" in the Key Chip II menu or you would be getting a printer error. So once you get the cable, you will need to re-enable the printer using a KEY chip.

Had power right away but kept getting paper out errors. Finally after rebooting game and sliding the printer in and out a few times it's working great. Spent the 18 minutes to make it say "Chuck's You Lose Casino" haha.
