Title: Game and reel chip numbers
Post by: B-52BadByron on March 04, 2010, 06:52:50 PM
Is there a way to look at the numbers on the game and reel chips and determine what games the chips came out of?  I have several used boards with different chips on them  and I would like to know what games they are for.

True but it would take a lot of time to look at each game title until you find the ss chip number your were looking for. He stated he did not know which game they came from. Thats a lot to look through. A lot of us have a master  ss list by number and can look them up real fast. :89-

Good point, didn't consider that.

Just a quick thought, maybe a searchable database of the stuff in the bible might work well? Or would that violate copyright?

One of our members did just that (here (http://newlifegames.net/nlg/index.php?topic=3068.0)), but his database appears to be having issues at the moment.  I sent him a PM earlier today, hopefully it's something minor he can fix.

It's SP1048 -- it's not a reel chip.

Sp1048 Type 0,1,4,5 10Mhz, ID023, SET58/76,  $0.01/0.05

I found out that if it was in Adobe PDF format, it is searchable as well, and maybe faster than a traditional DB.

Here are the only other ones that I could read.  If anyone can tell me what games these are and the payouts.

SS3741
SS3502

They are both IGT S+ reel chips!

SS3741 is either a Dbl. diamond or Gold Mtn. 3L game at around 92%
SS3502 is a RWB 3L game and is also at around 92%.

Try using Yahoo's' search. :71-
Here is how one would search for SS6273. Type it in exactly as it is here. The (lack of) spaces and punctuation are important.

<ADD> Yahoo is not perfect, but it better than Google. When I tried the SS3741, Yahoo only returned Gold Mountain, not DD.

I used to use Google, but unfortunately, they have been getting worse and worse at returning complete results. They no longer provide access to pages that they scanned more than about 90 days prior (they used to provide years of info) and they hardly ever seem to provide links to their "cached" pages anymore.  :60-
This same search on google returned only the tournament game page, but not the 3cm Five Times Pay or Crystal Fives pages, which were the ones that I really  wanted. :37-
