Title: Bally 6000 Power Issue
Post by: time2relax on March 06, 2010, 01:40:33 PM
Help please. Other than the lights I have lost power to one of my Bally 6000's and don't have a clue where to begin. The led's are dead so I have no error messages. I can swap parts from another machine but at this point am flying blind. :104-

It sounds as if you have lost the power supply. This is located in the on the back wall behind the hopper. It is a silver box with three fairly larger connectors on the top part of the powe supply and connected to the back wall with four nuts. The power supply is the same in a 5500 or S6000's etc. If this is bad don't replace the entire power supply you only have to replace the module inside the supply itself. Hope this helps.

Hi Idyle,
What "module" inside the power supply should one replace?

It's the module on one end of the power supply with two connectors attached. This is all I ever replace and it fixes everyone. I get my parts for these from Jim at Blueridge. Thanks

Thanks for the reply idyle!
Now I gotta go see Blue and find out what it is that he changes...
I'm betting the house it's a 5 or 12 volt rectifier.
