It's really kinda "Spooky". The letter was hand addressed and spelled perfectly.
I'm sure the number would probably bill some crazy amount if called, even from US phones.
The question is this..WHY ME????
I posted it on Facebook too. Googling that name or phone number comes back with ZERO hits (Except one at linkdin.com)

Send her an S+ Teach her how to make money by opening a casino. What she is doing is committing Nigerian Advanced V_____a fraud! Too ban you can't find out who owns that DID number.

The idea behind this is to bring death and misery straight to your door without you having to go there.................Kinda like the 5 minute phone card that is dispensed with an 8-Liner, a variation on the old Fey gum vendor.

First it's postage and more pictures, next it's college tuition and airfare for her to come to meet you. This looks like a new scammer. her photo doesnt show up anywhere or her name. There are many sites that list these scams.....
Oh well....a waste of time, but it is funny.

Give it a few weeks. I'm sure that you'll be able to find her picture all over the internet, although they won't all be under that name. :25- :47-
They probably paid her $5-$20 to take a series of pictures that they'll use in countless scams, and if she posed nude in any of them, she'll turn up on web porn sites everywhere.

It's funny, that name and photo do not turn up on any of the scam lists...yet....suspect this one is a new one...
Have to see if another one of those letters turn up :)

I joined once at age 50, what a SCAM! overpriced crap aimed at the older generation. AARP thinks if they SAY its a good deal, some will believe it! It's all crap.

If I got a letter like that, Dominatrix Operatrix Bell would strike first and ask questions later, after I regained consciousness! Luckily I usually pick up the mail, so I can be alert for foreign stamps.

Sadly, though, there are lonely guys who fall for this. I once had a colleague at work who bragged on and on about his fiancee, but without sharing many details apart from a stunning picture. It turned out she was in the Ukraine and he'd never actually met her. He sent thousands of dollars, a few hundred at a time, each payment supposedly for her to buy a ticket to the USA. Needless to say, every time the money arrived some unforeseen expense came up and she needed more. She played him like that for over a year before it finally sunk in that he was being suckered.

Your right, there! AARP is first and foremost an insurance company. Everything else that they claim to offer is secondary to that.

AARP pestered me until I used their postage paid envelopes (covered in swear words) to send back rocks and bolts that I found in the street. They finally left me alone. Keep in mind that I've been getting these offers for years -- -- and I'm only 47 now. Don't ask. Suffices to say that once incorrect information gets into your credit file, it will follow you for the rest of your life, even if it is removed quickly. Lists are bought and DVDs sold and resold and the bad info never dies.
