I love to camp but these days there is no way dad could do it. Now if I wanna camp, I will set up the tent trailer in the driveway and sleep out there. I suppose I could set it up in the back yard and really pretend to be camping. :96- :96- We used to go camping several times a year :89- out at Jones Creek (inside Tillamook forest) and I agree, it's relaxing, when you don't have quads or bikes buzzing by. :125- :125- :7- :24- Title: Re: Any campers Here? Post by: coorslight115 on March 28, 2010, 12:24:32 AM Have grandkids now..3 boys ..3 years old 2 1/2 and 16 months. oldest is my best helper and loves camping. We go to private campgrounds with no motor bikes allowed. Very quite. We like the Lancaster Pa area. When our children were young enough to go with us we had a tent. They moved out we bough a popup for the 2 of us. Grand kids came along a 33 foot travel trailer :208- A little backwards :5- But fun :89-
Title: Re: Any campers Here? Post by: ashyron on March 28, 2010, 03:11:04 AM We used to do the tent thing and then went to a 28 foot motorhome and then I sold everything and moved here. Now I have a 15 foot tent trailer that fits perfect in my driveway and blocks everyone from seeing the games in the ManCave. I use it for company or when I want out of the house. If I really wanna go camping there is a state park about 4 miles up the street. I miss going to Jones Creek.
That's a nice looking trailer you got. On a side note, the pic shows the first time I put this thing up. Now when I set it up I have the door facing the house, it's easier and not so worried about being robbed. Title: Re: Any campers Here? Post by: Ron (r273) on March 28, 2010, 11:35:49 AM We camped for years, but when we moved 2 years ago we had to sell ours. The
drive to the new house was to steep. Storage places was not an option for us. Plus the wify got so she did not want to cook all the time. My cooking is boiling water. :89- Title: Re: Any campers Here? Post by: Thor777 on March 28, 2010, 11:51:29 AM I have been a Camping fan all of my life... My favorite place is Allegany State Park which I try to make at least once a year no matter where In the states I am living at the time. I have not had a camper the last 5 years but I will rent a cabin, tent it or just tag along with someone I know that has a camper (like my sister).
I love sitting and discussing things around a campfire at night and I love hiking trails...ASP has a 6 mile one that great for someone my age but not toooo long (not yet). I usually like to go for a week and spend the weekdays hiking, taking pictures on the trail and relaxing, then its the weekend when the others show up which makes the experience complete. :137- Title: Re: Any campers Here? Post by: uniman on March 28, 2010, 01:37:42 PM My wife and I enjoy taking weekend trips in our motorhome. Since the kids are grown and married, most trips endup being casino excurtions. :72-
Our first motorhome was a small 25 footer with no slides. Here is a pic of it parked at Bay Mills Casino in Brimley, MI. Our Basset Hounds loved to go with us. This motorhome was small but you could fit it in small campsites. We took it on several trips along the Lake Michigan shoreline. Then we sold the motorhome and upgraded to a 37' 5th wheel with three slides. Pulled it with my Dodge one-ton pickup. Like a house on wheels! That thing weighed over 12,000 lbs! But you couldn't fit it at any primitive or small campsites. When we moved to Nevada the pickup and 5th wheel were sold. But it didn't take long for us to miss the camping out. So we bought an older 34' motorhome to take on weekend trips. Title: Re: Any campers Here? Post by: brichter on March 28, 2010, 05:23:15 PM I have been a Camping fan all of my life...
