Title: VLC winning touch 8724-need to borrow or rent RAM clear chip! Post by: nvanderm on April 03, 2010, 03:31:20 AM :99- I have a VLC Winning Touch model 8724 that lost it's mind when the main board battery died. After replacing the battery the place that I bought it from indicated I needed to get a RAM Clear Chip to reset the unit for a main board number 778-101-001.
As this machine has never needed this chip to run, I assume that the clear chip is only needed to reset the board then it can be removed. Where can I find one of these elusive chips to borrow or rent temporarily to get this system running again. Any ideas. I'd hate to turn it into a boat anchor or part it out if I can avoid it. The number on the chip in U35 is 150-07F0. I am located near Phoenix, AZ. Title: Re: VLC winning touch 8724-need to borrow or rent RAM clear chip! The clear chips are based on jurisdictions. Title: Re: VLC winning touch 8724-need to borrow or rent RAM clear chip! It's possible that there may be another NLG member near you who has the clear ("zero") chip you need. :71-
