Priorities During an Earthquake!!!

 :99- :99- :99-

 :118- :118- :118-

Well we just had a pretty big earthquake very very close to me about an hour ago, and I wanted to share with you all that I had my priorities straight!

I stopped browsing NLG, got up and immediately went to check things out with my slot machines! They were rattling and shaking and swaying. The top glass in them sounded like they were gonna break! I positioned myself in the middle of about 6 of them ready to catch if need be!!! :25- :25- :25-

Seriously I felt them shaking and moving!!!! I have a hanging pot rack and it was swaying several inches in each direction back and forth and clanging pots. I had a few thing fall, but nothing serious. It was a 6.9 and it lasted for about 30-45 seconds! We had a 5.1 aftershock as well. This is the biggest that I have felt for quite a long time!!! It was at 3:40 right before the Slot Auction Drawing!!! Joey and the folks there called to check on me as they even felt it there!!! :50- :50- :50-

So the moral of the story is.... Always check to be sure that your Gambling Machines are OK during an earthquake!!!  :5- :200- :25- :30- :81- :58- :58- :99- :99- :99-

I was too busy on the phone talking to my family, so I was not smart enough to get the camera rolling! Maybe next time! :208-

SO "What's Shaking Guys??"

6.9

The epicenter was about 150 miles from the Captain :104- , so he wasn't in the danger zone, but was close enough to really feel it.

We felt it here as well, about 275 miles away, as what I would describe as a 3.0 to 3.5 quake (noticeable shaking with no damage) :79-
It was about 225 miles from Bullhead City.

Speak for yourself Mr. 3.0-3.5, we really felt alot more than that here! I FELT slots moving, and they are heavy!!! :97- :97- :97-

By the way, updated to a 7.2

Seriously though everything is fine. Good thing it was a deep quake at around 20 miles so less damage!

The states of California, Arizona,Texas and Nevada are going to help with  the efforts in Mexicali!!!
Each state tomorrow morning is promptly sending 1,000,000 Illegal Aliens back to Mexico for the rebuilding
Process!!!
It's the least we can do..the very least....

Glad your ok, but if the event you were playing when it hit would that have been considered "malfunction voids all play and pays"  :103-  :103-  :200-

Bill,

You are right that I usually just ignore theme and pay them not mind, but in this case it was different. I got a little stressed when I actually felt the machines moving, and it lasted for a long while. I always think, maybe I should bolt the machines to the stands, but then I think... then I would have to secure the stands to the floor... Naw I don't need to worry!  :25- :30- :25- I put the machines on the stands and let them sit back a little off the stand and against but not touching something secure like a wall. This places the center of gravity further back, and makes it easy to drop the cords out the hole in the back bottom. I was concerned more about visiting kids pulling on the handles, I never worried much about quake issues. Luckily this one was not too bad as compared to other big quakes that SOCAL has seen in the past. I keep finding a few things here and there that fell off of things.

Thanks to the well wishers, I just thought that it would be funny to share with people my first thought was to stabilize an IGAME, Game King, and many slot machines, rather than to go for cover!  :200- :97- :97- :97-

You know whats really funny, I have TRIED to cause a "Malfunction" during a payoff by turning off the 120 volt power in the middle of a payout...
Every single time the machine rebooted and finished the payout!!
