Title: Bally E2000 The Hopper won't shut off
Post by: Amachanic on April 07, 2010, 07:43:56 PM
I just picked up a Bally E2000 Model number E1213-27. It's an old Bally Gold slot machine. It has 2 problems I have to work on. First one is that when you power on the machine the hopper starts running and doesn't shut off. I put this hopper in a different machine, only to have the same problem. Is the hopper control board bad? I can run all the different test thought this hopper board while its running. My second problem is error code 71. I have checked the reel reader boards in different machine and there all good. Is my problem in the I/o board or the reel reader board located on the front of the reel assembly?

I found this problem was a bad Hopper Board. Looked like it has a burnt trace on the board? I replaced the hopper board with a different one and the hopper is working now.  When I picked up the machine it had a broken fuse holder in the back wall, and the hopper fuse was blow-en. Now all I have to do is try to figure out the error code 71 on this machine. The reel reader boards are all good, tested in another machine. Anyone have any ideas?
