I'm going somewhat crazy! I have two I/O boards that always read a 710000 - a reel reader error on the same mech. When I try and do various test, such as moving the readers the same error appears. The question I have is how do I tell if the underlying board is OK. The tests all seem to oriented towards the solenoids or the reader boards, but not the 2983-2 board they connect to. Thanks, Jeff Title: Re: AS 2983-2 reader board - how to tell if good Post by: FOXSSLOTS1 on April 10, 2010, 09:47:07 AM are you getting 710000 or 71 000? 71 is a door opened condition not a reel reader. can you run any tests? 5 test to read the reels? if you have 710000 (no space) check the ribbon cable running between the io and mpu boards.

I'll go follow the door switch. If the switch is bad or the wire broken it would always read open door. Will report back when I do that. Now for the error on my other machine! Thanks so much, Jeff |
