Is this a reel machine or a video? Posting pics will help confirm model if no plate on the outside of cabinet.

I think it is a Gamemaker, if you pull the MPU tray/board, see if there is a "V" number on a llabel by one of the backplane connections.

 It would be a gamemaker.
You need to perform a saferam clear, likely with a saferam clear chip in p10.
You most likely need a new battery also.
To do the clear you insert the clear chip into the p10 socket, switch dps1 sw 7 &8 then start machine. Follow screen instructions
This is. From my cell.  I'm sure dan can point to a post with clear instructions.

Thanks,
Wayne

Actually I had these ready before the ball & chain sent me to the bakery. Below are Clear and Game Change instructions for your machine. If you are in need of a clear chip, most of the vendors on the home page could assist you. I would also recommend you going through the past Gamemaker threads to learn on some of ther features, issues and the fixes to be aware of.

 Dan (tacman)

OK, the GM Game Change is too big for here, so I posted in the "Submit New File" tab. That paper label on the left backplane connector will say V7000 or V7200, Oh, and welcome to NLG!

Also I believe there is a Gamemaker manual in the Submit New File section, get the 16 mb version. I would recommend you D/L and save that. It will answer many questions about procedures. If you get stuck, just ask here. There are plenty of members that will assiist if they can! Enjoy.

In the center of the home page just above the Arcade banner to the left you will see a tab marked Submit a new file. Click on hat and look for Gamemaker manual 16.5 mb. Do not download "Game King" items since they are a different game/platform. The GM game change doc is there as well.

You can try a "soft" clear depending on what Mains are in it. When you pull out the MPU board a connectors are at top, the top set of dipswitches push up #1, 7 & 8. Put the tray back in and power it up. See what message you get, if it says insert clear chip, then you're out of luck and need the clear chip. If it goes through some of the clears, turn off machine pull board and reset those dips back, replace board and turn on. It's a chance, but you should still get a clear chip even if the soft clear works.

I just noticed that you have a strange looking tray for that board. Most of the trays bend up and cover the card cage, but yours looks flat. Nice since its easier to get to the P10 and P3 eprom sockets. The Gamemaker is a Multi-game or Dedicated machine. I noticed that you board is missing 2 eproms (P-9 & P-10) The game will work and play but just so you know additional games can be placed in those empty sockets to give you more games. As long as you are not playing a dedicated game, you can populate all ten sockets (P1-10) with game chips to give you a total of ten games to choose from. Games will also be available from most of the vendors. I would peruse the GM threads to get ideas for additional games.

Well, Thank you Dan for that information that sounds really great!! but to be honest, right now i would be more than happy to just get some kind of life in the machine haha.
I did try the dip switch but still nothing change on the screen i can read " GRAPHICS CHANGED  USE OLD GRAPHICS TO VIEW METERS OR CLEAR SAFERAM TO USE NEW GRAPHICS

Could you please tell me where to get one of yhose clear eprom maybe a link? or maybe tell me what to search for?

Cheers/ Steen

Well, in the sponsor boxes at the upper middle of the page are vendors that are members here, Blueridge Slot, Rocky Moutain Slot or Lemans1969 should be able to help you.

If you aare posting a WTB for the clear chip, repost in the Classifieds section. The vendors may not view these topic post but they will more than like view the classifieds.

MODERATOR NOTE: Thread moved to the Bally GameMaker board.

swedlamps, You might think about getting a couple of new games to fill those poor, lonely, empty sockets as long as you're contacting one of our vendors about a clear chip. I did read that you just want to get it running, but you would save a bit on shipping if you buy the games along with the clear, and you'll be able to add them right in, since the procedure for changing games is to do a full clear. :96-

Just a thought, and welcome to NLG :88-

This may be a stand alone game, I can't read the chip labels.  If it is, then you could change it to multigame if you wish.
Thanks,
Wayne.

Good point Wayne, although Gold Mine is a single socket slot game, it does not neccessarily mean thats what is on the board. Swedlamps, look at the labels and write down the SMI numbers, should start with V7P??????. If the numbers are the same and ending in 11111, 22222, 33333, etc then you have a dedicated game on the board. If they are different, then you have a multi-game setup.

I'd be surprised if she has a dedicated game. The chips appear to be an uncoordinated lot, and there are two 512k 28 pin chips mixed in with the 1M chips in locations P4 and P7.

I didn't look too close at the board, but if there are 512's mixed in with 1 megs then you are correct. I don't know any dedicated game that mixes the eproms.

Steen, are you talking about the label on the left side plug or the label on each individual eprom ? Write down the numbers of these eproms and if you post them, we can help you identify the games. Of course if you get it running, then you will know because they will be on the screen then.
