Title: Paying with 'Personal' PayPal Post by: ashyron on April 19, 2010, 04:52:08 PM With as much as I have dealt with PayPal over the last year by sending out these illuminated stickers, I run across several people that do not know how or even know that there is a 'personal' feature on PayPal. I know it's still less than a year old right now so I thought I would post a picture of how to do a personal pay on PayPal. I hope this helps people understand how much money can be saved in fees. It's saved me a bundle already.

If you use the personal option, you are given a choice of paying the fee as the buyer (fee is added to the specified payment and charged to your card) or passing it on to the seller (card is billed the payment amount and fee is subtracted from the payment at the other end.)
I'm waiting to see how long this feature lasts before they start charging for non credit card payments. Once everyone starts using this to avoid fees, it will only be a matter of time before Paypal gets greedy and stops offering this option, IMO. |
