Hi,
Can anyone help me find a replacement power supply board for a Universal Mustang slot machine? The power supply that I need, is for the upper Dot Matrix unit. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I'm also looking for a coin tray for a CEI/Cal Omega Poker Machine Model #904 or #906.

I've never had a Mustang or even worked on them. Sorry, but I'm no help here.
Wonder if a computer power supply could be modified to work in a Mustang like they do on Williams machines?

I tried a computer power supply. I compared the output with the power supply on another Mustang slot machine that I have. The output is the same, but for some reason, the dot matrix display just blinks on and off randomly. I have no clue as to why. I have tried swapping all related components with the other machine (except for the computer power supply) and everything works as it should. Any ideas?

Computer power supplies are called a switching power supply. Its a technique to eek out more power than they would otherwise be capable of.
To get a solid voltage you need to have a load on the power supply. Try putting a 5K resistor across two of the unused leads.

  open the power supply up there is a line filter in there bypass the line filter that should fix your problem or call me 937-836-5609 Terry

one more thing make sure when you bypass the line filter make sure you put the wired together by color code. In the old t
ays i bypass all the line filters in them machines hope that helps

Is this filter just like the "Tokin" black filter found in the regular power supply?

Thanks, for your input. I'll open the power supply tomorrow, and try to figure out what and where the line filter is located.

If you read this thread it should answer your questions.

You can replace the power supply with one that has the proper voltage and current ratings. Your limiting factor is the space available in the top box.

Well, I tried putting a resistor (I only had a 4.7K) across two of the unused leads. That didn't do the trick.
Now, I guess bypassing the line filter as suggested by Terry, would be the next thing to try. Problem is..... I opened up the power supply, but I don't have a clue as to what the line filter looks like. Could anyone give a dummy a clue?????

I really don't understand your problem! help me out here, you claim you have three Mustang machines, one actually works as it should, you took all the suspect parts from the BAD MACHINE and put them in the GOOD MACHINE and they work. right so far. so you have determined that the power supply is defective. if you put all the parts back in the bad machine with a power supply from the good machine does it work???
NOW the power supply that I am talking about is the small one that you pictured in your original thread. this is the power supply that puts out +5 vdc to run the upper bonus section.
The power supply they are asking you to bypass the filter is the main power supply ( the one with the on/off switch and the 7/8 fuses ,located on the left side next to the reels). if you swap this out between the two machines, does this fix your problem??
Why have you shifted your focus to this power supply??

Ok.......I have Three Mustang machines. Two of them are working. The one that is not working......will work, if I take the small power supply that is located in the upper unit from a working machine and put it in the nonworking machine. So......I know, that is where the problem lies.
I was not aware, that the filer that has been mentioned, is not in the power supply that would be in the upper unit.
I have not shifted my focus to the main power supply. I have been asking for a replacement......that will work in the upper bonus unit.
The power supply that I am trying to get to work, is from a computer. I have compared the output from this power supply to one in one of the working machines, they check the same, but for some reason......the dot matrix just intermittently flashes on and off.
One other thing...you mentioned that the output should be +5vdc, Shouldn't it be -5vdc?
