Title: tatung driving me crazy

OK i got a tatung 14" vs14428 with  horizontal collapsed ( line top to bottom). ive checked and replaced all bad caps, no bad solder connections. ive fixed A LOT of these and never seen one with a line from top to bottom. This monitor is for a casino 120 miles away and i got a bunch of other i got to take back, but this is the last one and im gonna fix it with a hammer soon if i dont figure it out. ANyone seen this problem? or have any idea? thanks very much

it has to be sometihng wrong with the Hor Yoke.   test the plugs and leads..change yuoke if you must.

well i still got it. havent messed with it since, but i got to go back to elko so ill look at it in the next few days. i was thinking the yoke but i didnt have time to find one and try it.

Generally, when you have just a vertical line (no horizontal width) it will be a problem at or around the horizontal width coil. Look for cold solder joints especially at the width coil and the yoke header pins.
