Title: Question on the illuminated bill strip...
Post by: eis_slots on May 12, 2010, 11:53:15 PM
So i saw a post where Magicslots found videos on youtube on a guy named IGTMAN. In one of his videos of the Mummy machine it says he found a hidden switch that changes the pattern  of the illuminated strip. Does anyone know how to do this? Here is the link:

Actually, IGTMAN is a member here that goes by another user name. His Videos on YouTube are entertaining and informative about theme type. I enjoy them.

And yes, I agree, he has many toys!  :5-

Reminds me of those "dancing lights" that react to sounds.
He probably has it hooked up to a sensor like you use for sound-activated lights.
They do the same thing with lights on parade floats.
Lights are hooked up microphones.
All kinds of info on how to make your own>>>

It looks to me that he used the same idea that use on the IGT toppers, is there a circuit board in those toppers?  Doing that would be a way to get attention to the machine, like the toppers do.

He may have been fibbing a little bit.  He knows how to program the EPROM chip that is in the controller box, and likely created another custom program (he already created one in the past that "slowed down" the speed of the segments lighting up).

I agree with the others -- this looks very cool.

So IGTMAN is the one that created the slow version chip?  I have one of them hidden in one of my cabinets for future use.  I still actually prefer the regular speed unit.

MR SPARKLE (Clown formerly known as RUDEN)
RUDEN (Member formerly known in 1st NLG life as IGTMAN/JOHNNY G before many other aliases)
IGTMAN (No he is not with IGT but did contribute to their stock value)
JOHNNY G (did contribute here often and good info, but a small "glitch" in the Gold status ended it)

Sometimes goes under Duane Stumpf (a well known southern gent who has a bridge named after him in the bayou)

Everyone should send him a PM asking for the fix, if you go back to the original offerings there was a option for the slower speed chip from the manufacturer, if anyone is thinking about copying the chip, forget it, they are write protected, ROCKET may have an "in" with Sparkle, be careful though, he is a bit sensitive and takes poking fun the wrong way occasionally (Sparkle) and make sure you use spell check, he is a stickler for proper grammar! :79-
