Title: How do I change an S2000 from 110v to 240V
Post by: onesell on May 28, 2010, 12:07:13 PM
Hi all.

I have been trying to find out how to change an S2000 from 110v to 240v but i can't find anything in the manual so have half come to the conclusion that it switches it's self but i have now noticed one of the plugs going into the power supply could go to a choice of 2 places so now I'm not sure.

Does anyone know how to actually do it before I cost myself a lot of money.

Thanks in advance,
Richard

I have never done it but here's a pic of the power supply for your machine I believe.
The220V outlets are different than the 115V outlets aren't they?
Your neck of the woods uses the two round pin plugs?
I would definitely get in contact with our European members!  :89-
I'm sure they've had to change the power configurations in their machines before!

Thats quite helpfull i think on the diagram J305 is where i have an S2000 plugged in that is working on 240 but the diagram says that this is not used. Could anyone who has one on 110v let me know if theirs has a plug plugged into J/P 306 unfortunatly i don't have the machine in question here so i can't compare it and the guy who has it is useless.
Thanks,
Richard.

No! :60- STOP!
J/P 306 is an unswitched OUTPUT plug for machine components in the Top Box area!
In fact, all the connectors on top of the PS box are OUTPUTS!

The 115V input source is on the bottom on the right side of the power supply box.
We don't know at the moment whether or not if you can use a 220V plug for that yet.
Wait until we can get verification...

The S2000 will operate on 110 - 240VAC without making any changes.  You need to obtain the proper cable or adapter for the AC power cord.  The AC power input to the machine is the unlabeled IEC connector on the right hand side of the power distribution assy that Bunker posted the picture of.  That being said, you do to make sure any auxiliary devices that may be plugged into the machine will operate off of 240VAC as well.  Auxiliary devices include toppers, lighted denomination stickers, player tracking systems, etc.  If you don't have any, it's plug and play.
