bill validater accepts all bills but 100s cant figure why? :208-.... i tried goin to options on s2000 and went to bill rejects i set both numbers to 00 still nothen..... could it be the chip on the bill validater?

How about the dip switches on the bill validater??

where do i find the dp switches on the bill validater and i did try over 30 different  100s it just wont take them?

What type of validator do you have?

Sorry, I originally thought you said this was for a older Bally machine.
My mistake....

Remove the transport from the machine and look at the right side towards the front and you'll see a row of dip switches.  All of them should be in the OFF position.  Switch 7 in particular determines whether the BV will accept a $100 bill or not.  OFF it will, ON it won't.  You can get a manual for it from JCM.  http://www.jcmglobal.com/en/support/downloads/manuals.aspx  The WBA manual is on the second page.

On a WBA up or toward the numbers  is off.

dammm for a newbie im pretty lucky i went to settings /bill accepter/ and under bill tilt i changed the settings to ignored from hard and now it takes all bills including 100s..... damm im proud of myself...... :3- :3- :3- :3- :3- :3-

hey tilt is there any place i can find a s2000 manual that explains all the options and what they are etc.....im new to a s2000 im tryen to get familiarized with all the options specially i have to use a 45 key chip to turn my printer on i so can see that being a project lol....

heres the dumest ????? ever..... whats the best way to turn off my machines using there on and off switch inside or turning them off from the multi plug switch???????

Use the power switch inside each machine.
Turning them off with an external power supply could cause problems to the MPU settings sometimes.
These machines are sturdy beasts - they survive power outages and come back on with
all their settings intact because of the battery installed on the motherboard.
However, these machine are DESIGNED  to be turned on and off via the powerswitch.

Bunker  As you know I'm not the kind of person that ever disagrees with anyone, but this time I have to. The Slot Machine was DESINGED to never be turned OFF. That said as your collection grows so does your want to to open and close each and every door to shut them down. In the house I use the switch on the power strips, in my garage I have two tables 12' long and 4' wide each holds 10 machines, one master switch per table. 40 foot trailer about the same thing, two lines two switches. Each night If I had to open and close each and every door, it would be time to get up before I got to bed.  :114- :114- :114- :114-

I wanted to respond to Buzz's methods...in a light-hearted way.
what would the power switch be for?  :200-

Just kidding, I agree that they're workhorses and are made to be on all the
time but that isn't really good for a homeowner.
Casinos have the megabucks to replace parts on demand and to pay the lightbill.
Fan bearings don't last forever and neither do bulbs and various MPU and
other related components due to the heat buildup.
You could almost heat up a small room in the winter with certain machines.
Fluorescent lighting and toppers create a lot of heat.
Sometimes so much that you're not able to touch them with bare hands.
There are many factors that help prolong machine component life.
Cool air flow is one of them as well as how long they're powered.
I strongly believe that my turning on my machine only when I use it will
far outlast and outlive any casino machine that's on 24/7.

If you're having good luck with power strips I suppose that would
okay too - especially with multiple machines...  :89-
It would make thing's easier as far as turning them all off/on at once...

I only have one single machine on (when I play or tinker with it )  at home.
I don't feel like running up a power bill as mine is equipped with so much
extra junk in it that every time I turn it on, I create a blackout in my town.... :208-

One of the other primary reasons I turn my machine off with the power switch bar
is that I use the non-switching extra internal power outlet
for running other peripheral optional equipment that I've installed such as
an 19" LCD screen that displays my screen shots and video clips of different award and belly glasses.

For those that have very few machines,
( without extra stuff added to them or not using the extra non-switching internal outlet)
I highly recommend switching the machines' on/off
using the IGT supplied power switch - I can't think of any other valid reason
than what I've stated above as to why they are installed in there other than to service it.

FWIW, I have all of my machines hooked up to surge protected outlet strips. This provides convenience and protection against power problems potentially. None of my machines are plugged directly into a house wall outlet without a surge protector in between.

I use the power strip to turn machines on and off, and I rarely use the machines power switches unless I want some on and some off. Some folks use power strips, as well as individual power (light) switches built into their custom stands for each individual machine. I just make sure that no machines are in the middle of a game when the power is cut.

I cannot think of an engineering/technical reason either for or against using a internal machine switch or an external power/surge strip?? (Other than a non-switched power outlet in use.) I think that it is more of a preference for people? Regardless of what switch you use, I do STRONGLY suggest that you use a quality surge protection power strip rather that plugging machines directly into the wall. We are that way about our computers, and really if you think of it these slots are really computers!
