Title: IGT S+ Video Slot Game List
Post by: slotski on June 06, 2010, 05:54:55 PM
Would anyone have a list of the IGT older S+ video slot games by the game chip numbers.  (I'm not looking for the poker games) Thanks!

Rocket,
Thanks for the reply. I checked Ricks site. It is very good but the only video games i found on it were the poker games. These S+ video slot games are from Minn casinos which are only allowed to have Video type slot machines. No stepper or reel slots of any type except video. I can always plug the sets in one at a time to see what they are but I dont think I will be able to tell the games percentages. The games are around the 1998 era so even if someone has access to the IGT site I doubt that they may be on it anymore. Thanks again for the suggestion. Slotski!

Hi Slotski-

You're actually looking for a list of PE+ slot titles, not S+.  S+ was strictly reel slots with stepper motors.  IGT also made PE+ video re-creations of many of their popular S+ titles.

Here's a couple of threads on the topic of PE+ slot themes, in the PE+ section of the board:

I want to say that I came across a list a few months ago that had a listing of some (not all) PE+ slot titles.  I'll dig around when I get home and see what I can come up with.

We're not too far away -- we're both in the Twin Cities.  I know I'd be interested in finding out what PE+ slot stuff you have, and I have another local friend who would be interested, too.

Thanks to both of you Rocket & Kangl,
I really appreciate the help. I printed out the thread of a earlier list from the site. It has mostly poker, PE +, (thanks for strightening me out on that Knagl!) but there is some slots at the end. Later tonight over a couple of brews I will try to check what I have against the list. This site is a really a great resource for people  working on and collecting gaming machines.  Still hoping for a more complete list if anyone has one. Most of my chips have PS or XS series number. Does anyone know if the "X"S number means they are for what has been called the super board. Thanks, Gene.

slotski ,
Welcome to NLG!  :136-
I hate to stir the pot  :79- but ...uh... why not go out and buy yourself a nice I-Game?
There's plenty of video slot titles in that particular platform?
They are more readily available game titles than the older PE+...
Might cost a bit more but hey! Life is short!  :72-

Meh, don't listen to Bunker -- the PE+ is awesome.  :)

...at least, it'll always have a special place in my heart.  I prefer playing video poker on it than the newer platforms.

To answer your question, yes, I would assume that like the poker games, the ones with "X" require a superboard.  The non-X ones should run on a superboard or a non-superboard.

Hi stayouttadabunker,
It gets really cold up here in Minnesota and the winters can be pretty long. You need all the machines you can muster. I've gotten a number of game chip sets for these old games plus I have games to put them in so I would like find out what they are and what percentage they are. As far as machines go, I don't care for the really old mechanical slots but anything from about the 80's forward I am interested in.  I am getting older and totally agree about the life is short theory. I just did get a I game a couple of weeks ago. It has the LCD screen, looks great and I think its the best game in my collection. Have hoot Loot in it now but have also so far collected Monster mansion, Tobasco, Cleopatra, Unicorn and Neon Nights. Lots more to go. I think only Minn and Oregon had a requirement for just video slots so finding the info might not be too easy. Nice to meet you, Gene

My brother went to U of M in the 80's  :88- - I went go visit him and froze my tush off!
It's freezing there!   :218- :215-
I have older reel slots (S+ & S2000) so I don't really know what I'm talking about.
I thought you liked video reels.
Knagl knows a lot more about them (The PE+ platform) than I do and I trust his judgment. :89-
If he says they're pretty good - then I must agree!   :71-

Don't get me wrong, by today's standards, the PE+ graphics on the video slots are crap.  With the exception of Super 8 Line, they were crude video re-creations of S+ titles.  That said, I really like the platform, and along with Jim (Stolistic) and all his MAME PE+ work, I'm interested in getting as much stuff for the platform saved so that it doesn't vanish once the machines are all in the junk pile.

Yes the graphics are pretty poor, especially when on a bigger monitor but you can shut one off and turn it on after a year and they will almost always come right up.  And fast, unlike many of the newer games. Another nice thing is when you get tired of one game you just change the chips and you got another game. No messing with the reel strips.  The S+ series made a pretty good contribution to the evolution of the video slots. When are the 3D slots comming out. I can just see the banks of people all wearing the same glasses staring at these games and pushing buttons.
