Title: TECH QUESTION: running s2000 on 50 hz 120 volts + other questions.
Post by: pinball2000 on June 25, 2010, 06:21:59 PM
Hello,
I have my slot vending machine complete.  I will get some pics and a video up shortly. These are some unique questions.

1) The s2000 slot is going to Germany for a tradeshow. At the booth 120 volts 50 Hz will be supplied. Would that be an issue? The reason we have 120 V is because our vending motor(dispenser) thats connected to the slot runs on 120 volts. Plus we are comfortable with 120v as we are able to verify everything works 100% under those conditions.

The vending motor is rated at 120 volts 60 hz. Im told by motor techs that running the motor at 120 50 hz will cause the motor to run slower (17%) or so . This should be ok with me.

I have hooked the motor up to a variable resisitor and it still functions fine at 75 volts ac. Anything below that it will not run. Am I safe to assume 120v 50 hz would be the same scenerio as my test of 75 volts 60 hz? Thanks in advance! JR

have you thought of sending a small Gen set with the machine?
