Title: Pro's & Con's of Single demo. vs Multi Demo. Post by: IFFV68 on June 28, 2010, 02:59:47 PM What are the Pro's & Con's,
Single Demo & Multi Demo. Does one have any problems vs the other. It seems in the Casinos it's a lot harder to win on a Multi Demon.., or is that not the case Title: Re: Pro's & Con's of Single demo. vs Multi Demo. Post by: stayouttadabunker on June 28, 2010, 03:53:59 PM Really it depends on the games installed chips and the percentage settings -
not whether or not you're playing a single or multi-denomination machine. That's almost like saying machines with gold cabinets are harder to win on than machines with black cabinets. :96- Or Red cars are faster than black cars.... :5- Title: Re: Pro's & Con's of Single demo. vs Multi Demo. Post by: StatFreak on June 28, 2010, 05:25:26 PM One thing to remember is that multi-denomination machines (both video and reel) allow the operator to select the specific payback percentage for each denomination.
Casinos usually either set these all to the lowest common denominator (i.e., the percentage that they would have selected for the lowest denomination), or they assign them according to their policy for each denomination, which almost always means that the lower the denomination, the lower the payback. Beyond that, Bunker is absolutely right. :89- SF :31- <ADD> ... except that everyone knows that blue & red cars are faster than either red or black ones. :68- I think it's because they have two-way radios and immunity from breaking the law. :200- :30- Title: Re: Pro's & Con's of Single demo. vs Multi Demo. Post by: uniman on June 28, 2010, 11:23:41 PM The best thing to look for is the amount of the jackpot and the number of possible payouts. The one game that has been a long time hit is IGT-Sizzling 7's, Ballys-Blazing 7's, Uni-Magnificent 7's. These three games are basically the same game. A 3 coin buy-a-pay with a 1000 coin jackpot. The Bally version often comes with a standalone progressive. Popular because the low jackpot can be hit much more often than, say, the 2x3x5x pay, etc.
I remember playing the IGT S+ Satelite 3 reel game. All the different symbols and possible outcomes was interesting. Soon realized all those combo's came at a price as the frequency of hits was poor except for the little hits. Never liked the muti-denom reel games. Just not my preference. Always wondered if the costs of these new machines, with simms sound and backlit reels, comes with the price of a lower percentage payout? After all the casino needs to recoup their investment. One would think an expensive machine would have a lower payback. Years ago machines were simpler and cheaper so a quarter machine had at least a 92% payback. (my observations) Now what are they? Hmmm. Title: Re: Pro's & Con's of Single demo. vs Multi Demo. Post by: StatFreak on June 29, 2010, 02:08:51 AM Good points Uniman. :89-
It's the buy-a-pay design that really allows the jackpot odds to be so low. I can't speak for the current generation of machines in the casinos, but with the S+ and ProSlot, the odds for hitting that 1000 coins was only one in 4096, and 4913 respectively. Title: Re: Pro's & Con's of Single demo. vs Multi Demo. Post by: uniman on June 29, 2010, 02:16:41 AM Universal had a few Mag-7's chips with a 2731 to 1 chance. I think the IGT Sizzling 7's had one chip like that. Around 93%?
