Title: Game King Game and Denom Question Post by: SilverFerret on June 29, 2010, 01:47:19 AM I have recently purchased a 1998 Game King and it displays 12 games which I can play but if you go into the diagnostics, it shows many more games and different denominations than are able to be played at the moment. So my question is, are these different games loaded into my machine or is this standard software in all game kings?
Thanks, Jim P.S. If they are loaded already into my machine, Do you know how to trade games out? Thanks again Title: Re: Game King Game and Denom Question Post by: StatFreak on June 29, 2010, 02:56:13 AM Yes, they are already on your machine. You can have up to 12 games displayed for each denomination, so home users can access most of the games in one setup by choosing different sets of 12 for each denomination. Of course, you can then only play the games in the one denomination that you've selected for them.
You'll need a key chip to make these changes. Probably a key 17 or 22, but you'll need to get your software version before we can be sure. There is also a key 40 that takes the place of multiple key chips, but it's expensive. Once you know what you're running, one of our vendors can sell you the key chip that you need. Also, what am I looking at price wise for a key chip? After a short delay a screen should appear that has the game and configuration program information on it. They should be displayed as M0000XXX, G000XXXX, C000XXXXX. Post those and someone will be able to tell you what key you need for it.
It's been awhile, but the last time I bought a keychip I think it was $25 - $30 + shipping Title: Re: Game King Game and Denom Question Post by: SilverFerret on June 29, 2010, 05:24:20 PM Will the key chip come with instructions?

There's really nothing to it, and I'm sure it's been discussed here in the forum before. In a nutshell, power off the game, remove the tray, and remove the Title: Re: Game King Game and Denom Question Post by: Buzz on June 29, 2010, 10:09:29 PM Kevin I don't like to correct you but. don't mess with the Game chip. remove the Base chip and install the key chip in it's place.

You can post a "WTB" ("want to buy") message in the classifieds section of the forum, or you could try contacting one of the vendors directly. A number of us have bought items from Jim M. of Blue Ridge Slots. His phone number and e-mail address can be found in his profile (http://newlifegames.net/nlg/index.php?action=profile;u=76). Title: Re: Game King Game and Denom Question Post by: SilverFerret on June 30, 2010, 05:17:56 PM I apologize but for the life of me, I don't see a classified section anywhere. I'm sure that I'm just overlooking it but I don't see it. Where about is it located on this forum? It seems as if I've seen it before but don't now.

That will take you to the main forum index. From there, you can see every board group, and every board within each group. Once you click on a specific board, you will get an index of all of the threads (topics) on that board. The default thread order is most recent first. Browsing old threads in a board is a good way to look for previously covered solutions to an issue that you might be having. :71- Topics that have posts that you have not read will have a :59- icon to the right of their title and page number listing. Here's a trick that I bet many of our members don't know: When you're looking at the list of topics on a board and see that :59- symbol to the right of the last page number, try clicking directly on the :59- icon. It will take you directly to your FIRST unread post in the thread -- even if it's buried three pages back and you haven't been to the thread in months! This is particularly useful when catching up on very active threads. This same trick will work when viewing your "Show unread posts since your last visit", and your "Show new replies to your posts" links. StatFreak :31- |
