The CDS Prolink can handle up to unlimited amount of machines. However, the cabling required to accomplish this would be a tremendous undertaking. Basically, all it does is give you real-time coin-in statistics of each machine and tallies it all up...nothing more. If you want the real stuff for a live casino and have the proper paperwork - get a hold of Bally or IGT for your backroom machine "access"needs. Theoretically you could use some commerically available RS422 remote extenders. You need a CMS (casino management system) that is designed to link a number of slots. These systems also facilitate EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer) so you can use a voucher with the bill validator and have the CAS database validate the ticket and apply credits. I am personally interested in gettting one for my basement.... but have never ever seen one available for sale new or used. It is my understanding these are leased and not sold to Casinos so even in a shutdown situation they don't come up for sale. I know we have had a few members try and link into the slots in this manner but have not heard of anyone being succesful... Title: Re: How to supervise Igt s+ mediating remote access??
