Title: Payout percentages
Post by: SilverFerret on July 11, 2010, 01:33:35 PM
My Game King has 59 games loaded onto it and the major majority of those have multiple payout percentages. I will be changing some of these when my chip arrives but am wondering is there some way, or some list that shows what payout schedule each payback percentage uses? I'm including a snapshot of what I mean. Google hasn't gotten me anywhere.
Thanks in advance, Jim

The PAR sheets for each of the games should have that information, but I don't have PAR sheets for the Game King. You could try each one and take snapshots of the pay tables. Another option would be to look up the games in Bob Dancer's VP or Wolf VP.

If you don't own either of those, you can get a free copy of the older version of Wolf VP called Frugal VP on the wolf VP website (http://wolfvideopoker.com/FVP.htm).

Of course, for home play, I would just choose the top payout for every game.  :71-

I see now that these are tough to find, but I guess what I'm looking for is something that relates to this game and the number (i.e. P1036A) attached to it so that I don't have to go though every game individually to decide how I want the payout structure. It may not be available for the public, but I was hoping.

Jim,

I suggest that you post the base chip and game chip numbers. You never know, but you may get lucky and one of our members may actually have the par sheets for that set.

I don't exactly understand the secrecy around these par sheets as the machine itself shows the payback percentage and once you look at the game itself you see the payout structure. It doesn't seem to make much sense.

I'm very new to all this and when you say to post the base chip and game chip numbers, do you mean : base chip/Dueces wild - game number/P1029A or something else?
Thanks, Jim

I don't exactly understand the secrecy around these par sheets...

Casino gaming manufacturers (IGT, WMS, and the like) are VERY protective of their software and methods.  I imagine that there's multiple reasons, including helping to prevent possible security risks for their games that are on casino floors, and general business competition.  As such, they don't offer PAR sheets on their website for the average Joe to go in and look at.  Additionally, such documentation is typically copyrighted, and can't be kept in a database on a site like this as the manufacturers could potentially sue because the site would be distributing copyrighted materials without permission.

As CH suggested, if you can post the chip numbers that your game is running (either turn off the machine, remove the tray, and copy down the numbers printed on the main chips, or there's a way to have it display from one of the diagnostic menus, but I don't know how off the top of my head), and if one of the members here happens to have the PAR sheet in their personal colletion, it's possible that you may get a nice surprise in your e-mail.

to get the program numbers off of the game just turn the reset key or hit the small white push button on the front of the mpu, then press the accounting button on the screen, in the sub-menu press the program version accounting button and all of your chip info will be displayed in a few seconds.  post your base chip number - starts with the letter M - and someone will get you the par sheets you desire.  while you're at it get your game chip number - starts with the letter G - and maybe your psr will be located as well so you will have the necessary info if you want to make any keychip changes.  g/l

Ok SilverFerret Try this (works on gameking 5.3) open the door and push the little white button that enters you into the operator's menu.  Touch the 'diagostics' icon/tab, then touch the 'more' icon, then touch 'gametest' icon, then touch 'paytable tests' icon, then touch the game you want, then the % you want to get the paytable for, then turn the attendant key and you will see the paytable for that game and percentage.  repeat this process for each game.  You do not have to have the game loaded in order to read the paytable for the particular game and percentage.  Hope this helps.
Mike.
P.S Let me know.
