Title: Does your Slot Machine talk to you? Post by: Yoeddy1 on July 12, 2010, 08:26:37 PM I was up late last night, and my Game King was calling me from the other room. Looks like I'm not the only one this happens to!

Title: Re: Does your Slot Machine talk to you? Post by: StatFreak on July 13, 2010, 06:58:53 AM I wouldn't mind if some of the newer machines in the casinos followed me home. :79- :30- :97- :97- :97-
Hey, if I found a mechanical slot with a $10,000 jackpot, I'd play all day, too. Yeah, the TZ production team messed up big time on that one. :25- I guess they thought that the $1000 sign on the machine that the lady played at the start of the episode wasn't good enough for poor old Franklin. :52- :96- If the machine had a 90% payback with a $1000 jackpot and one combination that paid it, then a $10,000 jackpot would bring the payback to 202.5%. :47- Title: Re: Does your Slot Machine talk to you? To tell the truth, it's not one of the better TZ episodes. I highly recommend the TZ definitive DVD collection for Zone fans. The episodes on DVD are much more sharp and crisp than they appear on television, even though it's a BW show, and the extras are better than those on most DVD sets. In addition, many of the episodes' stories play better than they seemed to on TV over the years once the scenes hacked in syndication are restored. My favorite extras are the audio tracks of Rod Serling's college lectures. The only major issue with the set is that there are no subtitles, at least on my set. He signed a script which he gave to her.

He signed a script which he gave to her. :185- :185-From what I know of him, he was a very down to earth man and extremely intelligent. As I mentioned, the audio tracks of his college lectures, many of which were question and answer sessions, were the most interesting (to me) of the extra features on the DVDs. There weren't nearly enough of them. He was self critical, mindful of the suggestions of his students and open to intelligent discourse critiquing his work. <ADD> For those who listen to these audio tracks, it's important to turn the sound up high enough to hear the un-miked students to get the most out of the experience.
