Title: WOF Slot Machines
Post by: uscjunkie on July 22, 2010, 03:48:01 PM
Is it even possible to buy a Wheel of Fortune Slot Machine for your home game room?  I've looked at many of the dealers websites and have never seen one for sale.  Anyone know of one for sale by chance?

The WOF is a proprietary machine which means typically it is leased by the casinos and not owned.  As a result when the casino is done with it, it goes back to IGT for leasing elsewhere or it is destroyed.  I have heard stories...just gossip you know...of a few that slipped through the cracks...so you never know.  But I would say your search for one will be difficult.

Good luck.

Most of our WOF are being replaced as we speak and are already being prepped to be sent directly back to the manufacture... same goes for other "themes" such as Top Gun, ect...

The Top Gun machines at the casino here are gone. They were replaced with a horse racing theme. Still took my money  :37-

A few of us vendors have Bally Monte Carlo machines for sale.  Chris has called his a "Cash Wheel Of Fortune"  It's really a Cash Wheel.  Wheel of Fortune machines are made by IGT.  Using the name in his ad likely gets higher hits.  FYI  Chris is a member here.

Thanks,
Wayne

Heh, I did the same thing on my web site calling them "Bally Wheel of Fortunes" for hit rate.  Although I have myself shown as sold out on my web site I have hoarded some special titles for holiday sales.  In working on so many of these now I can say they are a solid machine and truly love to play them over any IGT Wheel of Fortune.  Most especially the fact that during a single bonus round you can spin the wheel up to 3 times.  They seem to hit more often than an IGT and higher payouts.

Here's an interesting factoid for those of you that like to play these in the casino's....I bumped into a par sheet inside of one of the machines that specifically spoke about the top wheel bonus only.  Would you like to know your odds of hitting the top prize of 1000 credits???  If you spin the wheel 5000 times...you will only hit it once.

The machine that Chris has on Ebay right now is one of the best titles....lots of action with the 5 lines of play.  Here's a video of it:

I don't call them "Wheel of Fortune" machines but do say that they are similar to WOF machines, this is honest yet still gets hits.  I agree they are better/more fun than the IGT.  Most know that I've been into these for a long time, I like all the iterations of this machine and have to say that Bally did an excellent job coming up with different themes which are only cosmetically (clone) different.  I have my "Fear Factor" which will be tucked away til the end.

Thanks,
Wayne

Oh nice!!! ...Fear Factor is a good title....I would like to see a picture of that.

One title I have been hoarding is a staple product to all Bally fans...much like Double Diamond is to IGT.....is "In The Money" to Bally.  This particular version has a Haywire action second bonus feature.

I think those are a couple of Saturday Night Lives to the right in the pic below/

I'd almost say we jacked this thread, however it wasn't a WTB ad and the original question was answered.  An interesting thing I saw at the Seneca Niagara Casino was the way they have IGT( Wheel of Fortune) and BallyMonte Carlo) wheel machines mixed together.  First a Bally (of course), then an IGT, then a Bally and so on.  Interestingly, all of the Ballys were in use, but only one IGT was being played.  For IGT I would like to get an Elvis slot or a Jeopardy slot long before a Wheel of Fortune..

Thanks,
Wayne

BTW Dorothy, if you haven't figured it out, the ebay seller (Chris) is CP on nlg. You could always send him a pm.

i have to disagree :103- nothin can beat playing a wof verses a cash wheel.... cash wheels are nice but id take a wof any day over a cash wheel...... even though i own a rare high limit cash wheel.....i rather own a wof :89- :89-

The one in your picture is not a Monte Carlo Cash Wheel, It's a Monte Carlo Spin N' Win, which is still better than a WOF.  Cash Wheel machines can win multiple spins.

Personally when at the casino I stay away from the WOF
I like to win money not spin a wheel that normally hits for 20 or 40 credits.
most of the WOF at Seneca Niagara Casino are gone now replaced by video slots.

But in defense of all the WOF lovers I did watch my 82 year old Mother
hit a $1 WOF for the $1000

Now if you really want me to open a can of worms
I play mostly Bally machines at the casino
why...because for me they hit more and I have better luck
never once have I hit a WOF that's why I always chuckle walking
past the remaining WOF looking at the top wheel stuck on 20 credits.

Tim

Oh my vote of course would be for a BALLY cash wheel
before a WOF

There was gigantic sit down multi player WOF with the huge 15 foot high wheel
in the center that didn't last for more than a year at my local casino.
There are now several regular sized slots in that area.
I guess the big one took up too much space...LOL

Bunker with all your "tinkering" habits maybe you should find out what they did with it so you can take it apart and analyze it for everyone. You would have to build an extra room in the place just to house it.  :208-

They  still have that macchine at the Seneca Niagara  Casino. It's a penny machine and was popular for a while, now you don't see as  many people playing it. Am sure it will be removed for other  machines as it  takes up alot  of room. Seneca  has been replacing alot of machines lately or  maybe as rocket say they are just  moving them around...

There's still a bunch of those WOF Super Spin games in Vegas.  When they first came out, I hit the $100 (top wheel award) a few times.  Fun game.
