Your Top2003 won't burn 16 bit chips, that's why it doesn't show up. Title: Re: burning M27C4002 Post by: idesign on November 08, 2008, 11:42:00 AM Your programmer is not capable of programming 16 bit chips. No adapter will make it do that. Just because it has a 40 pin socket that does not mean it can burn 16 bit chips. You need a different programmer.

Title: Re: burning M27C4002 Post by: hoppy on January 01, 2009, 07:22:10 AM Hi I am succesfully using a Wellon VP-280. It connects to computer via a usb connector but uses a separate power supply to burn 27C series chips.( power supply was provided in package) I purchased the programmer on EBAY for about $100.00
Programmer can auto identify chips. as well as manual selection. Will also identify non connecting pins in the socket. Hope this may be useful to you Hoppy |
