The 27C4002 is a 16 bit chip.  Your Top2003 won't burn 16 bit chips, that's why it doesn't show up.

My $30 chinese knock-off of a Willem does :) even came with the adaptor. Model number and Ebay seller provided upon request.

the on I have will hold the chip, it has 40 PIN capabilities, I don't think I need an adaptor.

Your programmer is not capable of programming 16 bit chips.  No adapter will make it do that.  Just because it has a 40 pin socket that does not mean it can burn 16 bit chips.  You need a different programmer.

When you do your research for the new programmer make sure the device list includes the chips you intend to burn.

Hi I am succesfully using a Wellon VP-280. It connects to computer via  a usb connector but uses a separate power supply to burn 27C series chips.( power supply was provided in package) I purchased the programmer on EBAY for about $100.00
Programmer can auto identify chips.  as well as manual selection. Will also identify non connecting pins in the socket.
Hope this may be useful to you Hoppy
