Title: INFO: Cherry Master 8-Liner ADD ON PCB Post by: coinopshop on July 28, 2010, 10:53:58 AM I got this 36-pin add-on pcb which from what I understand is for Cherry MAster pcb's so that you can eliminate the accounting buttons and the knock off. Problem is I can't find any info on it anywhere, so I hope the good folks here may have some knowledge of it's exsistance.
Markings on the pcb read " MODEL L6ADD " and " Made with pride in the USA". "Copyright 1997 PITSBURGH, PA." And that's it. I was told you would use the control panel buttons in a combination to do both accounting screens and knock downs by placing this pcb between the main harness and the Cherry Master pcb. Any info would be great ( Anyone from Pittsburgh familiar with them ? ). Thanks, I've included a pic below. Dave. Title: Re: INFO: Cherry Master 8-Liner ADD ON PCB Post by: caspur on September 20, 2010, 10:33:18 PM Hey Dave I actually have one of these sitting in front of me right now I am from Pittsburgh and used a few of these a few years back. Although it has been a while I remember what this board does. When ever you "knock off" the credits on a machine it blacks out the screen so you can not see the credits running off of it (if the lcb sees the credits going off of the machine in bars that is illegal but, if the screen blacks out and noone can see the credits going off then that's a loophole and not illegal) and that was the main reason they made these boards and yes, you can also use these pcbs for accounting purposes. You need to hook up the power the the tiny edge connector on the right side of the board (there are 3 pins). The top pin is +5 volts, the middle pin is +12 volts and the bottom pin is ground. I also believe that the default password for the board was "Double" six times. JW how did you run across one of these I've never seen them anywhere but, Pittsburgh.
