Save yourself future trouble and get the battery clips like they use on computer motherboards then go to radio shack and get batteries without clips for like $3. Saves a LOT of money and time

You mean like these battery holders cowboy?
By the way, Digikey.com has them...
Here's a link to the 10mm sized holder...there are other sizes available.
They are only .96 cents apiece...!! >>>

Can you get a 3.6 volt coin battery for that holder though?

I think so....the one I've linked to was the smallest one [10mm].
There were larger ones available.
What is the exact size of a 3.6 volt coin battery?
By the way, I don't see 3.6V    only 3 volt coin cells.
This company cells them pretty cheap in bulk.
They have the 3.6 with the prongs too as LT Games preferred...>>>

Yeah, we need LOTS of linemen in this business. I'm on the generation end of it. An 1800 meg coal fired plant. Google "Laramie River Station". Good work if you can get it

There's a video too about the place....huge plant!  :5-
It's a little bit of an overkill for LT Games' machine though...  :96-

The correct voltage is 3 Volt, not 3.6 on the I+ and S-2000 Lithium Coin Battery

That battery clip idea isn't a long term solution, you will find unless you get a huge battery they will run down quickly, and most coin cell are CR batteries not BR, the BR is a different formulation and takes more heat, can't see not buying the correct one, or actually the size below the factory one is very cheeeeeeep on eBay usually and holds for years, the factory is a Panasonic BR2330-1HC (with PC legs)  have seen 2335's and many 2325's used as replacements, but the correct factory one is BR2330, I have in the past always given a BR2325 with any S-2000 or I+ 3902 Board as a thank you and in reality a just to have for when the battery on board goes down, never a complaint, but did try the coin cell and that was like stepping in a hornets nest, just do factory, I have had a 2325 in a tester board here for over 3 years and still right at 3 volt

I'm glad you knew what the proper voltage of these batteries should be Blueridge. :131-
I only assumed golflover was correct when he said 3.6v... :5-
I didn't check  :25- but did find it strange that I was only able to find 3volt coin cells. :72-

I got these numbers from some battery website which I thought could be informative as well...
These are the specs of several different types of coin batteries.
If one were to use a coin socket - the nominal capacity of the BR3032 (500mAh) seems to be more than 3 times of that of a BR2325
and the size of it isn't that much bigger really, only 7mm larger?
I think this could work if it fits the board battery location, no?  :128-

Hey Cap, it's Deadwood, South Dakota :89-, but you knew that. And it was MY friday, we work a really odd 10 week schedule at the power plant. We have no Mondays, sometimes no Tuesdays and Friday is very rarely on Friday. That's the cost of only working 6 months out of the year :96- Anyway, thanks for the well wishes. It was a very lucky day for reel strips. Not so lucky for gambling :8-

So to defer to Jim and Bunker, the coin cell holder would work soldered to the MPU? Would the coin cell battery last longer the the AA fix? Am just asking to understand. Since the Bally proslot eats batteries so much. Like in once a year.

Yes and no...uh....we were talking about an I-Game or a Game King I think.... :96-
You're talking about a totally different platform from a different company...
There's extensive posts from different members in the Bally threads on their battery mods.
I haven't heard of IGT machines having a "battery eating" problem really.
I could be wrong on this though...I'm only human...lol

I think we all have that draw back Bunker..llol.. I did the Bally battery mod on here with the AA batteires and it is working fine. I'm just learning all I can.. Hopefully some  day I'll be answering alot of questions insteadof sking alot of questions :)
