Title: MVS MV-1A Board help Post by: gizmodrake on August 03, 2010, 02:07:43 PM Hi guy's, I have been reparing Jamma boards few months now as a hobby and I have come across my first faulty MV-1A board. The fault code I'm getting is this:
COLOUR RAM BANK0 ERROR ADDRESS WRITE READ 00400000 5555 B255 Is this a LSPC IC fault? I am unable to find an LSPC IC on my board unless some of the writing has worn off. I really appriciate your help! Many thanks, Gavin Title: Re: MVS MV-1A Board help Post by: gizmodrake on August 06, 2010, 02:14:49 PM Ok I have now checked the board over and it looks as though it may be missing a surface mount cap that looks like it may have been knocked off the board. Is this the likely cause of the problem?

The LSPC: Line Sprite Picture Creator is the main grapics chip, usually LSPC-A0 for the earlier chipset. A1 or A2 wou,d be that int he later revisions. |
